My husband's daughter, her boyfriend, and I all took my husband out to eat for his birthday. He had heard of this new restaurant and wanted to try it. We ended up having the worst experience. The restaurant's interior is beautiful and we were seated by the fireplace with a good view of the televisions. We ordered an appetizer - smothered fries - that came out quickly and was good. Unfortunately, this is where our good experience ended. Our server was slammed, so we understood when it took awhile to get refills on our drinks. Okay. We were patient for that. As time passed, we realized that the 5 tables that we could see, that had arrived after us, had all been served their food. I looked at my phone and we had been there over an hour. We spoke with our server about our concerns. She said that their printer was broken, that this had happened before (Really? They didn't learn from their mistake the night before?), and she would get the manager. She spoke with the manager, who did not come out to our table, and said they would give us free pie. By that time, we were all ready to go and upset with the situation. I asked our server to ask the manager to come out to our table. She finally arrived and I let her know that free pie was not going to be enough. I told her that our meal needed to be comped and that they needed to box everything up, to go. It was not our fault that they didn't check the broken printer after seeing that all of the other tables had their food. She said she had to call the owner. She called the owner and angrily told us that she had comped our ticket, and they started boxing up our food. Our server was extremely apologetic, but the manager's attitude was horrible. That we had to address the issue first, was probably the most frustrating part of the whole evening. Once we arrived home and unboxed our food, we were missing 1 fried potato side, 1 fried okra side, 3 bread sides, fixings for 1 loaded potato, there was no gravy on the fried pork tenderloin (I specifically asked my server if there was gravy on the pork, and she said there was), and on the sandwich, one of the pieces of bread was burned. We appreciate the owner comping our food, but we will never be back.

Coyle’s Restaurant is a charming spot located right across from the historic Battlefield Park in Prairie Grove. It’s easy to find, with plenty of parking available. We visited on a Saturday evening and were pleasantly surprised that there was no wait. We were warmly greeted upon arrival and quickly seated. Service was excellent from the start—our waitress came right over, took our drink and appetizer order, and kept things moving smoothly throughout the meal. For our appetizer, we ordered the fried mushrooms. They came out quickly, piping hot, and delicious—cut in half, lightly breaded, and cooked perfectly. For the main course, we ordered catfish with a substitution for the pinto beans. The meals arrived promptly and were overall pretty good. The hushpuppies, while flavorful, were overcooked and a bit dry for my taste, though others at the table enjoyed them just fine. The catfish was served with tartar sauce and pickled green tomatoes—definitely worth asking for if you like a tangy side. Dessert was the sweet potato coconut crème pie, a unique combination with sweet potato on the bottom and coconut cream on top. The flavors were good, though the sweet potato layer was a little gritty in texture. The menu is somewhat limited but fitting for a small-town restaurant. Options include nine different burgers, salmon, chicken, meatloaf, chopped steak, and catfish. There are no traditional steaks, but the variety is still solid. The atmosphere was great—clean, comfortable, and welcoming. Staff were friendly, attentive, and made the dining experience enjoyable. Overall: Coyle’s is a delightful local restaurant with a warm atmosphere, attentive service, and satisfying comfort food. It’s a nice change of pace for a meal in Prairie Grove, and worth a visit if you’re in the area.

I've been excited to try this place since I saw the sign on the building while it was going up. Then I saw they had fried green tomatoes on the menu! The atmosphere: Walking into this beautiful new building, we we're all in awe. There were about 4 seating areas that I noticed. One area had sports on 2 TV's. The area that included the salad bar, where we dined, was a little too open and the seats uncomfortable for the amount of time you spend dining. The acoustics (noise level) was a little loud, but not horrible where you couldn't here people at your table. The food: The menu had your basic southern foods plus some. Fried catfish, though not on the menu, it was a special that day. The Midwestern burger had the best flavor out of everything ordered at our table. The cheese curds, bacon, and garlic mayonnaise really made the flavors. Seeing the desserts available was nice and helped decide if or what you wanted. Other than the Midwestern burger the flavors were average. Service: The wait was quite long for our food even though it wasn't extremely busy. No condiments were on the tables or extra napkins. Tarter sauce didn't come with the catfish. These two things would have saved our server running around so much. Malt vinegar wasn't available for the fish. I didn't bother the server by asking for lemon. Price: The price was the biggest disappointment of the experience. It was about double what I would normally paid for a family of four. A slider, chicken strips, specialty burger, catfish, with 2 desserts to split. I would like to try more of the menu, but I can't afford it.

Our group of three arrived at 7 PM on Thursday night. Coyle's was busy, but we were seated immediately. Our waitress Katie sullenly took our drink order, 2 waters and an unsweetened iced tea. There was no sugar or artificial sweeteners on the table, so I asked for Splenda and lemon. Katie returned quickly to take our food order forgetting the Splenda and lemon. We asked for those items again and ordered chicken fried steak, grilled chicken breast and chicken tenders as our entrees. The restaurant closes at 8:00 PM and at 8:00 most patrons had cleared out. There were 3 or 4 tables left other than us in the main room at this time and we still had not received our food, any bread, nothing. After sitting and waiting for 45 minutes Katie managed to make it by our table to refill our drinks from pitchers of warm water and tea. One of our party asked for some ice and she was brought a cup of ice a few minutes later. About 8:30 I saw Katie by the register and I went to ask if our ticket had been misplaced. Fortunately another waitress (I wish I had gotten her name, because she was attentive and pleasant) checked on our order and let me know we were on of the last 5 tickets hanging in the kitchen. This same waitress came to our table to explain that this new restaurant was having so many problems. Our food arrived shortly after that. The food was good enough, however it was not hot and was barely warm. I felt like the portions were a bit small for the price, maybe they had run out by this time? Another minor issue was that the gravy on the chicken fried steak was just a dollop on the center of the fried steak. About half of what I like to have and normally see on that dish. I devoured my green beans and turnip greens, but took 90% of the entree home with me, because cold chicken fried steak is less than appetizing. Coyle's certainly has potential and it's atmosphere is lovely. Katie could use some additional training and potentially practice her customer relation skills, or just obtain some of those skills. Her tips most likely will improve if she learns to engage with her customers instead of hiding from them. I can only speculate about why we waited extraordinarily long...

I ordered the basic hamburger & fries. The burger patty was dry and kinda tough with no flavor. It definitely didn't taste fresh off the grill. The fries were ok though. Not a memorable experience. If you can't make a simple hamburger taste good, especially a $10 hamburger, then you need some help. Dairy Queen has a better hamburger than Coyles.

UPDATE: 3 months later I gave them a second chance. I ordered a patty melt with cheddar cheese on sourdough bread. The waitress didn't write anything down. Waitress came back a little later to ask me to repeat my order. My food came out and it had swiss cheese on it instead of cheddar and was on just regular white bread toast. I told the waitress my cheese and bread were wrong and she said that the bread WAS sourdough and asked me if I could just scrape the Swiss cheese off. I said not really, the cheese is pretty much melted into the meat and bread. I said I'd like a new one. She left with an exasperated exhale. She returns with just a piece of correct oval shaped sourdough with AGAIN melted Swiss on it!! I said what's this? She said whats wrong now? I said this is the same cheese and not only that I told you the cheese on the sandwich couldn't be just scraped off. She said how about you just eat it and I won't charge you for it! I said no, I don't like swiss cheese I just want what I ordered and I suggested she write it down. I was visibly mad at this point. She gave me a dirty look and stomped off. Then a manager came over and acted like I was being a problem customer and didn't really want to hear my complaint, said she sent the waitress home, took my order and when it finally came out (1 hour since we had been seated) the cheese was correct but the bread was back to being wrong but I was really hungry by that point and I just ate it. Again with the flavorless meat, imagine boiled hamburger to get an idea. They didn't charge me but didn't apologize either. People that were sitting across from us also got the wrong order and had the...
