Had some friends that went here a short time ago, said it was great so we went as a group back there. Outside of the building definitely gets your attention and when you walk in, the bar gets your attention too. Clean and well lit, greeted right away and placed in a booth. The service and communication was a little on the slow side, which I would chalk up to them being new and still learning the ropes but when it comes to the food and drink menu, this is where they shine. The drinks and food were all well prepared and delicious. Even the chips and salsa were well above average, with the traditional homemade salsa, bean dip, and avocado and poblano (?) sauce all combined with their fresh and warm - it really made the whole experience memorable. The hostess greeted us with a bright smile and we quickly had a booth for two.
I ordered street tacos and I was happy to find cabeza and lengua on the menu. Mom had street tacos with carnitas.
La cabeza was the best I've had.
Street tacos were served with limes. (I'm always curious why some other restaurants opt for lemons instead of limes or if this is purely a regional thing).
I would have liked the option for Mexican pickles on the side. Carrots, onions, any would be great with street tacos.

It was remarkable to see a new restaurant running so efficiently for it being launch week. From the kitchen to the front staff, everything seemed right.
We're definitely coming...

They're always so welcoming. This type of customer service is hard to come by. We have become regulars here. Always get the Kalaveras fajitas. Ive also had the pollo fundido which is also a good option. I usually get it with shredded cheese on top instead of the American cheese and extra jalapeño cream cheese. It doesn't disappoint! Im pretty picky on Mexican food but I feel this is the best Mexican food in the quad city area. Hands down. Give it a try and support this family owned and...
