Bob Evans — Restaurant in Princeton

It was only my second time going in here. I was treated with disrespect because of the people I had came to sit with. The manager told the servers to not serve our table because all we do is order coffee and sit there. With all due respect.. I was there to grab something to eat and to drink some coffee with my friends, and if that's wrong of me then what kind of business are you running?! I sat there for a good 20 mins waiting to get served with some delicious coffee and possibly some breakfast. Nobody came. This upsetted me dearly.. I had drove over an hour from Rockport to have coffee with my good friend! Then when it came down to it I wasn't going to get served properly.. I do NOT recommend anyone to go here.. there are a few servers that are quite decent but most of them are stuck up selfish. From what my friends told me they sit in the back, quietly minding there own business and They always tip the servers well.. then the manger says that we are taking up tables!? We take one table in the back and the two times I went there were PLENTY of tables to go around. And if it was to get "busy" we would go outside and chat. The service we had gotten and it only being my second time there was terrible.. the first time I got terrible service to. I came in and no one came to ask if I wanted something.. see the problem was not with us but with the staff. Them telling us that we don't order any food is ridiculous.. if they would have done there job properly I would have gotten food. But the manager told them to not serve us therefore making it there problem that we couldn't buy any food. I will not be back nor will I ever recommend anyone there. Just me a line will not faze your business, nor do I want it out of business, but to have the same respect the other questions had gotten definitely since it was practically a first time experience. Today 9/4/2024 It has been a while but finally decided to give Bob Evans a second chance. My wife had country fried steak , carrots and mashed potatoes with soup. I had fried chicken, fries and Mac and cheese. My wife said her food was good all except her carrots were cold. As for my food. The fries were good so was the Mac and cheese. However the fried chicken was not actually a piece of fried chicken. It was a large strip of breaded chicken meat. It was very rubbery and difficult to cut. It appeared to have been frost burned and tasted gross. I didn't even swallow a bite of it. I left it on my plate when I left. The server never asked us if our food was ok. Even though it was obvious by the plate with only an uneaten piece of chicken stuff on the end of the table that it was not. When we went to pay. The manager did not ask if everything was good or anything like that but rather insisted on trying to sell us breads and pies. Waste of time and money. Plus I left hungry.

(a couple years ago) While the restaurant was clean and comfortable service was lacking. It took a while to have our order taken. Then what seemed like 45 minutes for a burger and fries & a soup and salad. We finally got our food when I overheard someone speak up in the kitchen asking "where does this burger go?! It's been up here for 15-20 minutes!". Then someone from the kitchen came out asking where it is supposed to go & I spoke up. Then they went back to get my wife's soup and salad and brought the wrong soup so she ended up with 2 soups. The burger and fries tasted and looked as if they had been sitting for a while. I don't normally leave bad reviews but this was the worst experience I've ever had at Bob Evans in Princeton Indiana. Ordered the sunrise breakfast with hash browns grits and cup of fruit The waitress brought out eggs and fruit. I asked her where the hash browns and grits were and she said I didn't order them . She set the bad tone by not trying to make it right from the very beginning. Customer service was awful she brought the hash browns back 10 minutes later my eggs were cold at that point forgot the Grits . Said the the Grits would be out in a few minutes ??? Never said she was sorry then she must have told the manager that we were being rude which was totally untrue we got up and left went to pay and the manager immediately accused us of being rude to her waitress then would not believe our situation she actually argued with me about my breakfast told me the sunrise breakfast does not come with hash browns

Another customer in the parking lot told me the service has been horrible with the current manager they have you don't argue with customers very disappointed...
