I hadn't had Sislers for 31 years, ever since my grandma passed away. But one thing I always remember from being a kid was the half gallon of Sislers in the freezer. Ever since I've told many friends and colleagues about the fantastic ice cream of my childhood. So on a recent trip back to Princeton I couldn't resist the opportunity to make sure the real thing was as good as the memory. Well....I was not disappointed. I have had countless ice creams over the years, even fresh gilato in Italy....but for me none of them hold a candle to Sislers chocolate ice cream. Truly world class!! Read moreTheir ice cream is top notch. Mug root beer isn't my favorite for a float so that was slightly disappointing but still decent. What frustrated me was there were 2 doors with both having an open sign. The first door we tried was either locked or stuck and no one came to help from inside. We walked in thru the other and 2 employees just blank stared at us while waiting for us to make the first move. No apology for the door issue which I'm sure they seen. It was a very awkward moment. The shop is adorable, staff are great, and they have little step stools for tiny people to see the ice cream in the cases. Such a great idea!
