Wow.. Went in thinking this was a bar with bar food.. I was wrong! The food is on another level. I got the Indian chicken with rice. It was full of flavor and just the right amount of spice. I like avocado and they had a appetizer of fried avocado with three different type of sauces I went ahead and got it and it was well above expectations for avocado. My wife got the meatballs with penne pasta that was there special for that night it was only $5 and there was enough to feed two people. If you're looking for a full bar and something really good to eat that is not generic bar food this is the place you got to go to

Was in town for a visitation and wanted to try something new. Outside double doors were difficult to open with a wheelchair. Hallway going back to restrooms had extra chairs there and wheelchair couldn't get through without moving them. Had to wait several minutes to be seated. Very friendly staff. Checked back often to make sure we were good. My husband was craving chili and a cheeseburger. He said it was delicious. Enjoyed the fries. Crunchy and well seasoned.

We went for a late lunch today and had a great time. The service was very friendly and attentive, the food was fantastic, and the atmosphere was great as well. We didn't live in Princeton when the old Spoons was open, so we never ate there before, but we had such a great time today that we'll definitely be back.

We went on a Friday night at about 7pm as a party of 3 meeting our daughter who is at Bradley U, this was halfway for both of us. It was quite loud when we arrived and we had to wait at the bar for about 10 minutes before they had a table available but the attentive waitress offered us drinks while we waited. We were seated in short order and given menus and our sodas refilled. The menu is varied with plenty of options including gluten free, vegan and vegetarian offerings. Spoons is located in a historic building and the colorful history of the location is featured at the bottom of the menu - don't miss that if you enjoy knowing the background of places you visit. Also don't miss their Cuban sandwich - it's quite tasty! We also ordered an Italian wrap - delicious! and the pulled pork dish - very good. The fries are also perfectly seasoned, salted and cooked. For dessert we shared a piece of the Italian lemon cream cake which we really enjoyed. For the three of us the bill was under 40 and we left very satisfied with our experience. We'll be back again Spoons, thanks for a great dining...

Another one of my straightforward, honest reviews! I was in the little town of Princeton, IL this weekend for an event Sunday-Monday, and though nothing jumped out at me as far as a "must try" place to eat, after doing some research, I decided to try Spoons and Forks. If you are in west-central Illinois, it's definitely worth the trip! I ordered a bowl of their chili, as well as their vegetable curry with chicken added. I could have had a meal just with the bowl of chili, which, while it had a unique flavor, was truly outstanding! I love to try different chilis...well over 300 of them around the USA, and this one is in my top 5! The vegetables in the chili were not "mush" and still had nice texture to them. The bowl was huge! Perfect amount of heat, meat, and flavor. The same could be said for the curry bowl. Huge! Peapods, peppers, onions, and vegetables that had great texture, and the perfect amount of heat. Shredded chicken and the jalapenos on top were a perfect balance. Price was more than reasonable; service was excellent. I will return here if I ever come to...

I can’t attest to the quality of the food because unfortunately, after waiting for almost an hour, watching every single table (inside and outside) being served their food, we were still waiting for ours. After being told there was a printer issue and there would be a slight delay, we still continued to watch all other tables, except for ours, being served food. At that point, we decided to pay for our drinks and leave. I can understand that businesses are short staffed during this time, but we arrived shortly after 11 and were only the third table of people seated inside and no one was seated at the outdoor tables yet. We watched table after table of people arrive after us that received their food pretty quickly. Our waiter was kind, but the rest of the waitresses and staff were very rude and unprofessional. This was was my first experience with Spoons and will most definitely be my last. I’ll continue to take my...
