Khun NYE Thai visited on a Monday night 8:16 pm. 2 tables seated 2 waiters Got greated and seated right away. Nice ambiance but was confused if it was a seat your self or wait to be seated. But since it’s order from the table with wait staff taking your order, there should be a host stand. Ordered the fresh spring rolls $8.95 & the red curry with tofu. $16.95. For the spring rolls the price is waaaay too high for only 2 piece. Especially that this is not a fine dinning. Should charge around $6. First round of spring rolls came out with the rice paper tough, it should’ve been very soft and not chewable when eating it. I couldn’t finish the first bite. Server took it back and came back with a new one that was much better. Served with peanut sauce. The red curry was great full of flavor. Very well seasoned, vegetables were cooked and yet crunchy just like how I like it, served with a cup of jasmine rice that was pretty good as well. This bowl is priced around $12 at many other places. Too much for $17. If this place wants to stick around for a while they need to 1. reduce their prices 2. Make it self order at the counter & remove the gratuity service. It fits the vibe more with the counter ordering system facing the front door. Especially not having a host. 3. Check the foods quality before it comes out. 4. Check back on customers when they drop off the food to make sure all is good, nothing is missing and tastes good. Since it’s the servers job who is getting the tip. Paying $32 for two items no drinks, for a local diner in a neighbourhood is over. People want to spend around $20-25. In order to come back. The place is very new, just opened. Hopefully they can work on few tweaks here and there to get more customers & create regulars. The restaurant is very clean and cold, 🥶 they need to turn it down a little. Best of luck to you guys on this new journey!

Gonna start this by saying that we love Asian food, especially Thai. So we were excited to try this place out as it is in Prosper. And I will go again to see if we like it better next time. We want to love it! The place is nice, and the service is good. They give you a lot of food, but it is also priced higher than the other Thai places we frequent. We ordered the nam tok, tom yum chicken, pad Thai, red Thai basil, and vegetable delight. The nam tok was the best part of our meal. The beef was perfectly seasoned and appropriately spiced (4). Tom yum was good, not the best, but good. The pad Thai and red chile basil were also pretty good. The red chile basil was missing some salt. My vegetable delight was meh. Not much flavor...didn't like it much. One of our favorite things about Thai food is how flavorful it is, with each dish tasting uniquely different from one another, and even within the same dish, you can taste the different ingredients used. These dishes didn't have the depth and richness of flavor I am used to in Thai food. Thai food also generally doesn't use cornstarch as a thickener, and my dish had it, which is disappointing. Also, when we asked for a spice rack, all they had was sriracha. We're used to a few different spices that add spice without changing the flavor. So I'm hoping that they add this in the future. Like I said at the beginning, we'll go back again and give them another try. We want to support locally owned restaurants and businesses for sure!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4/5 Tried Khun Nye Thai for the first time — overall, great service and a welcoming atmosphere, even though the place was pretty quiet when we visited. We started with the pork dumplings, which were decent. The Thai fried rice was good — we’d rate it around a 6 or 7 out of 10 — solid but not a standout. My wife had the Pad Thai and felt the same way, good flavors but didn’t blow us away. On the plus side, portion sizes are generous, so definitely a good spot if you’re hungry. We also took home the mango sticky rice, and that was excellent — probably the highlight of the meal! Good local spot with friendly service and worth checking out if you’re in the area.

Disappointing Billing Experience - Please Be Cautious

Our family of five (3 adults and 2 children, ages 10 and 7) just dined at this restaurant and left feeling extremely frustrated. This review is not about their food, which is normal Thai cuisine, comparable to many other Thai restaurants, but about their dishonest billing practice.

When I asked for the bill, they brought a cash iPad register to the table showing only the total amount. I entered an 18% tip, thinking it was the usual process. It was only after they printed the receipt that I realized they had already automatically charged a 20% gratuity without informing us. This means I ended up tipping over 38% in total (Because 18% of the total amount has 20% automatically added) - for service that was completely ordinary.

When I called back to ask why they didn’t tell us about the automatic tip, the staff simply said there was nothing they could do. There was no effort to resolve the issue or acknowledge their lack of transparency.

Unfortunately, I was so upset that I threw away the receipt on the spot, but I wish I had kept it to warn others more clearly.

If you decide to dine here, please make sure to ask upfront whether gratuity is already included to avoid being double charged like we were. Based on this experience, we won’t...
