Reminds me of old-style oriental restaurants growing up in 70's/80's. Nice ladies who take pride in their dishes, I could taste the love put into them. Very accommodating to our dietary needs, (when they understood them), truly grateful for that. Be patient with the ladies, as they are eager to please, they may seem unfriendly, but, they are not, trust me, it's cultural & the language barrier. They do understand English, but, you can tell, there are details you may need to elaborate on. Ok egg flower soup, w/a few tiny chunks of carrot & a little black pepper kick to it. I loved the delightful egg foo yung, w/the best, brown, egg foo yung gravy, I've ever had. Fried rice decent, would have rocked with onion or scallions. Pork chow mein was ok, had perfectly cooked sweet onions in it, (I dug them ALL out of the tons of bean sprouts they gave me. Little bits of pork tasty & juicy. -I'm not a big chow mein fan, but, it was in the combination dinner I ordered, had those thick little (crunchy?) fried noodles that were just ok. I put all my food in that brown gravy, & basically slurped it up! (Lol). That being said, I prefer Asian-fusion restaurants, but, this was a delightful blast from the past. Booths & ambiance outdated, but, ok. Hubby loves the shrimp fried rice, & he's annoyingly picky about fried rice! Liked the modern Christian music playing softly in the background. Place got slightly busy & everyone seemed to be happy...
Read moreThis place is very friendly and nice place to eat. My buddy & I went for lunch there. We were craving some Chinese food, but not really sure what to order. When the server came to take are orders, we told her that we don't really know what to order because we havent been here to eat. She actually took her time to ask us what we like to eat when we go to Chinese restaurants. Well, my buddy and I both like sweet&sour chicken. So the server recommended that we should try their sweet&sour chicken, and if we don't like it she will not charge us for it because she recommend it. I thought that was pretty cool so we did try it. Ohhhh.....wow. I'm glad we did. That was the best sweet&sour chicken we had ever eat. The flavor was perfect. It has a nice churchy to it, it wasn't to sweet like the others I've tasted. I mean this was delicious! You gotta...
Read moreNot the best. Had way better. We ordered for take out and did not get our crab puffs. The lady was so confused when giving us our order. The sauces were not labeled so we had no idea what was what and plus the food did not taste good. We ordered S&S, general , and orange chicken. The chicken was the same for all 3. They looked like chicken nuggets I have never seen a Chinese restaurant give chicken nugget looking pieces for the general or orange chicken. my family and I threw just about most of it away sadly. To top it off for 3 meals it was about 65.00. I don’t get how if our meals were no more than 15.00 max. Not sure if my family and I will be eating...
