An Unforgettable Mexican Experience - A True Culinary Treasure
Dining at Chilangos Restaurant was not just a meal -- it was an experience that touched the heart and awakened every sense. From the moment I walked in, I felt the warmth, the colors, the music, and above all, the genuine hospitality that makes you feel like part of the family.
I started with the queso fundido with onions and rajas, and let me tell you -- it was the best cheese dish I have ever had in my life. Creamy, flavorful, and perfectly balanced -- each bite was a burst of comfort and tradition.
For my main dish, I had the enchiladas potosinas, and they were simply divine. Authentic, vibrant, and cooked with a level of care that you can truly taste. These aren't just enchiladas -- they're a journey to San Luis Potosí on a plate.
And let's talk about dessert -- the flan was pure perfection. Smooth, silky, and rich in flavor. Our server Aidan recommended it, along with the margaritas, and both were absolutely spot-on! Aidan's attentiveness, kindness, and knowledge of the menu made our evening even more special. His service was exceptional.
Every moment at Chilangos was filled with joy. The food, the drinks, the service -- everything exceeded expectations. This place doesn't just serve meals... it serves memories.
Thank you, Chilangos, for sharing your culture, your flavors, and your heart. I'll be back soon -- and I'll be...

We got there at 6:05 last evening. Should have been plenty of time to leave by 7:35 to catch a concert. They sat us directly below music blasting from the cheapest, lousiest sounding speakers I've ever heard. Conversation was nearly impossible, so we switched tables and ordered drinks. After 15 minutes they asked if we wanted an appetizer and we ordered one - still no drinks. My friend had a hard day and really needed her drink so that she could sip it and relax. Nope. 15 minutes later, 1/2 hour after we ordered, the drinks arrived with the appetizer. We were sitting in clear view of the bar and it wasn't as if the tender was going nuts - he was chatting, walking around, etc. Getting close to 7, our waiter finally showed up and we explained that we were running out of time. He assured us that they would try to get our orders out asap. Bottom line, we had to take our dinners to go. Tamales with mole had no mole in the box. I'll throw them out. I didn't see my friend's order.
The only non-awful thing in the evening was the margarita, which was good. I spoke with a friend this morning who knows the restaurant well. He said he's not surprised at all. He said they treat you like dog poop (we were at the dog park, hence the analogy) until they "get to know you". One thing for sure - they won't...
Read more4 years, FOUR! That's how long I've lived 4.6 miles from this amazing authentic Mexican food joint without visiting. Don't get me wrong it's been bookmarked for a long time, shame on me. When we walked in my first thought was holy moly it's tiny in here. We were sat at a table for two in the far back next to the bar. How cozy. The complimentary chips and salsa were spicy and crispy just the way I like them. We started with the sliders. They were served on the most delicious fluffy yet perfectly crisp rolls. The pulled chicken was so moist and flavorful. Uh, to die for. My husband ordered the Burrito Villa. The pork was so tender, smoked and then fried up on the grill to order-as we were told by the young man serving us. It was also pumped full of oogey-gooey oaxaca cheese. I ordered the enchiladas potosinas. It was covered in a savory poblano sauce, corn, and shaved carne asada. I'm personally not a fan of corn tortillas, but I do understand they are needed to uphold an enchilada. So I was pleased when I bit into my enchiladas and they were perfect. The cocktails are creative and tasty, there are also some beer sections as well. I had a hard time making up my mind on what to order which I never see as a bad thing. This is a family run and owned establishment and you can feel the pride they have in great service and food. I can't wait to be back, I have my eye on you pollo...
