Green Wok Asian Vegan Kitchen — Restaurant in Providence

Pictures are deceiving, this is not a restaurant. We’re not from the area so we didn’t know what to expect but this was a grimy experience. The food was FLAVORLESS (we got general taos chicken, Singapore noodles and the new pot stickers), the general Taos had way too much sauce on it, and even with that it was still BLAND and wet. You walk into the building and there’s a bunch of confused people waiting for their orders which you get from a locker. Very impersonal, detached and to top it off, the lobby and bathroom were dirty and sticky.

I ordered the General Tso’s Cauliflower and cream cheese fried wonton. The cauliflower was barely battered. The sauce tasted like chemicals. The cream cheese wontons were not even half full, the sugar in them was weird. They would be better without the sugar for certain. They give you a good amount of food, but it just tastes like duck sauce with chemicals. Sorry, I don’t recommend. Very overpriced for the quality. I’m a tough Vegan critic and this place was impressive. The staff was super friendly and very knowledgeable. They encouraged me to try their new mock chicken and it was 11/10 on both taste and texture. I had no choice but to double check if I was served the right meal.
