I grew up in this neighborhood- this building was Bell’s Diner in the late 60’s. It’s been many things since then. I tried the pizza for the first time - crust is relatively thin and cooked perfectly. The tomato sauce is very good - not salty or acidic. We had Tommy’s Pizza for many years and it closed a few years back. This place is a great addition to the neighborhood. Next time I’ll try a spinach pie or a steak sandwich. Since I’m Italian I don’t get mozzarella cheese on my pizza- I order it like bakery pizza (no cheese) then sprinkle some Romano or Parmesan cheese on top. Inside is simple, clean, and with a few tables & chairs.
Tonight, my second time 30 May, I went back with a friend. I had chicken parmigiana with penne pasta. The sauce (gravy!) was perfect and the pasta was al dente. My friend got eggplant parmigiana & pasta. We both enjoyed our meals 5/5!
Ok, tonight 5/15/24 with the hot 🥵 weather, I wanted something light. I ordered a Fattoush Salad with grilled shrimp. Freshly made and the shrimp was grilled perfectly! Try this if you want a...
Read moreThis was my first time ordering and it will surly be the last. Based on the reviews, I decided to try it, let’s just say if I could have given a negative rating I would’ve. I ordered a large pizza with peppers and onions, and “Buffalo” wings—I’m using the term loosely. Let’s start with the wings, arrived warm, that’s as good as it got, wings were floured with no type of seasoning not even salt or pepper, and one small condiment container with hot sauce for an order 12–maybe their rationing the hot sauce, which honestly could have helped the unseasoned wings, just saying. Pizza dough was horrible, reminiscent of pizza from seven eleven, cheese tasted like over processed cheese slices, and pizza arrived cold, overall I think digorno pizza was a safer option. Food was so disgusting and inedible that I’m not sure how positive reviews could even be possible, maybe the cook had an off day, nevertheless I will never...
Read moreTried Pizza Roma for the first time a few weeks ago at a golf league and it was phenomenal. Made sure to get it again, this time not starving and slightly buzzed, and it was again phenomenal. New York style pizza is one of my favorites and not many people around here do it right but this place does.
Side note, I did not have the pleasure of meeting the previous owner but the amount of hate coming from people because of a change is just ridiculous. You would think people would show love to someone who took over a local business and is working hard to keep it alive and a loving memory for the former owner but then again can’t expect much these days.
Good luck and I will continue to be a...
