Updated Review. July 2024. Stopped in on Memorial Day Monday. Late afternoon. Our 1st time at this location. As they are located on a tiny triangle of property, the parking lot is rather squishy.
We went inside, to place our to-go order. We were waited on promptly. However, we were told that, for some unknown reason, they were Not serving the spicy that day. We would have to settle for mild. If it wasn't for not wanting to fight holiday traffic, we definitely would have gone to one of the other locations. The lobby wasn't overly clean and stock was mostly empty. The real mess was out in the parking lot. Looked like the aftermath of a Cat. 5 hurricane. Trash was Everywhere. That being said, they got our order correct and the food was hot and delicious.
UPDATE: 2 YEARS LATER. Quite possibly The Worst Popeye's in RI. They don't even bother to Try. Literally Every Time we are passing through that neighborhood and give them a shot - They Totally Fail. In Every Aspect. The parking lot is filthy with trash blowing around. They are completely Out of almost Every Item we order, (including soda flavors), Every visit. How is that Constantly possible? To top it all off, the entire crew team is apathetic and very rude. This Total Lack of Caring comes Directly from the top. Spend a few minutes inside and you'll have sympathy for anyone who has to work there. We are easygoing customers. We don't ask for much. We are Done giving them a chance. There are Far Better...
Read moreI stopped by this Popeyes location to grab some food for my family and had a frustrating experience. When I arrived at 1:07 PM, there were a few customers already waiting for their orders. I stood at the register with my eyes on them, ready to place my order, but was completely ignored. After waiting until about 1:22 PM with no acknowledgment from any of the staff, I decided to leave.
The customer behind me was also frustrated, and we both agreed the service was unreasonably slow. It seemed like there was one cook and two other employees assembling orders. One staff member took a bathroom break (understandable) but then returned and passed by a few times without assisting us. No one greeted us, apologized for the wait, or even acknowledged we were there—despite both of them passing by us multiple times.
To make matters worse, I noticed the employee handling chicken with tongs occasionally had her fingers brushing against the food, and wasn't wearing gloves.
Overall, the lack of customer service and poor food handling were disappointing. I also question if this location is understaffed as I have heard from others of having similar bad experiences. A simple "We'll be right with you" would have gone a long way, but instead, we were completely ignored. I would have stayed longer if they even just said hi. I ended up leaving to just head...
Read moreI went to the popeyes on reservoir ave in providence ri to day. I ordered the Holiday meal deal and asked for the chicken tenders option with a side of french fries and mac and cheese and a large sweet tea deal ($4.49). My order was correct until i went to the window where they repeated to me fried chicken. I said no, tenders. They said mashed potato. I said no, cajun fries and mac and cheese. They had to redo the order and asked me to pull up to the front. I waited 5 minutes. A girl comes out to my car and repeats the order to me. Again it is wrong. She said fried chicken and I said no, chicken tenders. They got the sides right though. I wait another couple of minutes. Two women come out and hand me my bag, apologize and said it is all set. I had my 2 yr old with me in the car and drove home. When I arrived home, I opened the box to find fried, boned chicken, not the tenders that I ordered 3x. There was no point in taking it back as they screwed it up 3x. Frustrated I took the breading off and had to debone the chicken for my toddler. It was so heavy and tasted so overfried unlike it usually does that I did not even eat one whole piece, nor did my husband. A waste of time and money. We won't be visiting this...
