I have been to this water park many, many times. As a former Forest Park Resident AND former pass holder I can say that this has always been an AMAZING place to bring the family and children to enjoy summertime fun. After living away from Forest Park for the past 13 years, we recently moved back to the area. I brought my 13-year-old daughter to the aquatic center last summer (2024) and had a lovely day. This year, however, I encountered a slight issue with one of the check-in staff.
On Saturday 6/28/25, upon entering the facility there were two youth checking in people directly outside of the aquatic center. While reading the sign about "appropriate attire," Youth #1 was extremely RUDE when she blurted out "THIS IS FOR PASS HOLDERS." Youth #2 clearly observed the rude vibe because she looked at Youth #1 and both smiled. As a 50+ year old educator, I had absolutely no desire to take the time to correct these two young "ladies" and give a life lesson in customer service. However, I thought that it was very important to let the Aquatic Center leadership and these two youth know that there was a better way to advise patrons (pass holders or not) about the procedures. First, you had NO IDEA whether we were pass holders or not. Second, if there's a question, you simply could have said, "Good afternoon, do you have a pass?" and waited for an answer. If not then you could have replied, "if you're paying cash you can take care of it at the front desk." Your behavior brought what would ordinarily be a 5-star rating to a 3-star rating.
In the future, I will return to the FP Aquatic Center. I just hope that next time, these two have learned...
Read moreThis was our first time visiting. I have a 1,4 and 7 year old. None of us are swimmers. And because of this, when checking in, we all were given red wrist bands to indicate that. The life guards would keep an extra eye out for those with the red wrist bands on . Coming in, there is a shallow pool that progressively gets deeper..maybe up to 3 1/2 feet. My four year old who is about 40 inches tall, made his way to the middle of the pool, where he went under. I was maybe 10 feet away as I was inching my way to him. Before I could grab him, the amazing life guards, maybe 2-3 jumped in and grabbed him. They suggested he put on a life jacket. I gave them my ID and rented ( it was free) 3 for all of my children. I should have followed my 1st mind and got them life jackets before we got in the pool. Lesson learned! Overall the aquatic center is clean, the shower rooms and bathrooms could be cleaner. My kids and I enjoyed it. The heated water was a plus because it was a cool 70s and cloudy kind of day. We loved loved loved the splash pad area. There were life guards EVERYWHERE and they rotated! They were on it! I felt safe. My little one and I were a little shaken up. I thank GOD that the lifeguards jumped into action and that my baby is ok! I know this is a long post but 1.Get in the pool with your little ones Pay attention Get that life vest, even if they are in shallow water. Drownings can happen fast and quietly. Your staff was amazing we...
Read moreI went here today for the first time with my 3 year old daughter and it was extremely disappointing. I was on the website and FB page and I saw nothing regarding the water play structure being removed. I saw the construction for a splash pad, and that’s awesome, but why remove the play structure before that’s completed? There was literally nothing for my 3 year old to do! I felt so bad for her. She was so excited to go here, and the entire time we were here she looked so bored. I don’t care about the cost for an adult, but I feel I should be refunded on her behalf. What did I pay $13 for? For her to stand in 2 feet of water? I could have done that at my house. That’s a ripoff and you guys know it. 3 and under should have been free. The people who work here were super nice and the lifeguards were...
