The park itself has always been a nice spot to take the kids horrible experience at the concessions stand the staff was not welcoming at all maybe because it was almost closing time so I can understand that if that was the case but still you must treat your costumers the same no matter what time it is so my order consisted of 2 hotdogs and 2 funnel cakes with ice cream the first attendant told us the funnel cakes couldn't be made and then the other one stated it could be made but it would be a 7 minute wait I said ok so then I asked for the hotdogs the same response I'm like ok if I'm waiting on the funnel cakes of course it's common sense I'll wait for the hotdogs also so we get our food the hotdogs were nicely plated in a container but they slid the funnel cakes to me and my companion on an aluminum foil sheet now if the funnel cakes just came out of course they're hot so I asked don't you have a plate container anything to put them in blank stare like we're a bother and then she puts them in a container I immediately walk away and in a quick response say I will be leaving a review cause the customer service was horrible I'll give them another try only because the food was good but staff needs some training on...
Read moreI want to start off by saying, Karrie was instrumental in making my event a success. However, Linda should really have an attitude adjustment. We paid for a service and Linda refused to adjust the air on the 3rd floor to a comfortable setting. She sent maintenance up to adjust the temperature only 2 notches. After asking a 2nd time, she explained that we needed to keep in mind that we're close to the roof as if we weren't aware. This was my sentiments exactly with more than 40 people there and temperature over 90 degrees outside. Heat rises!! There were guests/people with breathing problems present. Wouldn't it have been cheaper to turn the air to a comfortable setting than to pay for medical bills/expenses? The park district shouldn't be that hard up for money.
Linda even got snippy when letting in cars pass the gates in order to unload for the event. Part of the events contract was to open the...
Read moreMy sister and I are new at playing Pickleball. We were playing (well, chasing each other's balls) at the combination Tennis and Pickleball courts near the rec center on Harrison. Paul rode up in his golf cart to make sure we knew there were true Pickleball courts just down the street. I explained that we currently suck at playing so we need to be far away from others because we miss a lot of balls. Paul explained that we would have to do less chasing balls on the smaller courts. We had not thought of that! We immediately moved to the Pickleball courts. Guess what? Somehow we played better on the real Pickleball courts. Whoohoo!
As we were discussing how grateful we were for Paul's help, he rode up. We thanked him profusely! I hope he truly felt our genuine gratitude. What a nice gentleman. Thanks...
