Maywood Express — Restaurant in Proviso Township

I always order a sausage egg and cheese sandwich almost every day from Maywood express , one day I came in ordered my usual he gave me a sandwich that sausage wasn’t done, I showed him my sandwich told him what the problem was he made it well done, when my sandwich was done he called it out he just threw my sandwich on counter didn’t place it in my hand didn’t even put it in a bag!!!! I went to Maywood express today 7/29/21 ordered my usual sausage egg and cheese sandwich , he burnt my bread Charcoal black and put a spicy sausage on my sandwich I never get spicy sausage I don’t like spicy food !!!, his attitude and customer service is horrible!!!! He been messaging up my food all because I returned a sandwich he gave to me that sausage was not cooked properly I GIVE THIS...

Will NEVER return! Went in ordered Mississippi egg and cheese sandwich and a side of well done hash browns with grilled onions and cheese. Opened container of hash browns and noticed that they were not well done. I advised the gentleman and proceeds to ask me “Can you take them home and cook them?” No I cannot! What did I pay you for? He takes them back, with an attitude, and they place the hash browns on the grill. As I’m waiting they are just sitting on the grill. I asked him are you all going to cook them or just let them sit there. He proceeds to tell me “ This is the way we cook them we are not going to cook them your way!” Sir how about you just give me my money back? NEVER ...

I have been passing by this establishment on the train for a long time and always wanted to stop at "that yellow restaurant". It just struck me as my kind of place, a city hot dog stand vibe. The menu is extensive for a relatively small neighborhood business serving breakfast as well as hot dogs and other hot sandwiches. My dog was prepared as asked, ez mustard relish onion, extra crispy fries, the thin ones. Everyone there seemed to know each other as they came and went, as did the friendly owner/order taker. Fast friendly service. Parking is tight but I had no problem finding a spot. Check the website for hours as they are not open late....
