A Fiesta of Flavors at New Era restaurant
As we walked into New Era we were immediately greeted by an atmosphere that was both vibrant and inviting, setting the stage for a memorable dining experience.
Appetizers: A delightful beginning Our culinary journey began with the Flautas Mix, a delightful combination of chicken and mashed potato wrapped in a crispy shell, served with a fresh pico de gallo, creamy sour cream, and rich guacamole. Each bite was a celebration of texture and taste.
The Queso Flameado was a showstopper, with hot melted cheese and savory chorizo coming together in a dish that was both comforting and indulgent. It was the kind of appetizer that makes you pause to savor every mouthful.
Main Course: Indulgence The New Era Platter was a treasure trove from the sea. The 6oz lobster tail, scallops, shrimp, octopus, and crab legs were cooked to perfection, each element bringing its unique flavor to the table, creating a harmonious blend of the ocean’s bounty.
The New York Steak was a testament to the chef’s expertise, served with a perfectly baked potato and steamed broccoli. The steak was succulent, flavorful, and cooked just right, making each forkful a moment to relish.
Desserts: Sweet perfection The classic Cheesecake was creamy, smooth, and just the right amount of sweet, while the Tiramisu offered a delightful contrast with its layers of coffee-soaked ladyfingers and mascarpone cheese.
Beverages: The Perfect Pairing To complement our meal, the Horchata and Jamaica wore a refreshing choice, its sweet and earthy flavors providing a soothing finale to the rich and diverse meal.
In conclusion, New Era is not just a place to eat; it’s a destination for those who seek to immerse themselves in a culinary adventure. It’s a place I’ll recommend to friends and family and one I’ll...
Read moreHey there, food lovers! 🌮✨
I recently had the pleasure of dining at New Era Restaurant on Fifth Avenue in Maywood, and let me tell you, it was fantastic! From the moment I walked in, the service was top-notch—super friendly and attentive.
Now, let’s get to the food! I went for the sampler platter, which included tacos, enchiladas, and a few other delicious bites. Every single dish was packed with flavor, and honestly, I was so full I had to take some home! And don’t even get me started on the passionfruit margarita—it was absolutely delicious and complemented my meal perfectly.
I can totally see this place being my go-to spot for after-work hangouts with friends or family dinners on the weekends. It’s a great local business right in our community, and I’m really happy to support it.
If you’re looking for a little gem that brings something special to the table, definitely check out New Era. I can’t wait to go back! Thanks for an awesome meal and a wonderful experience! I pray for the continuous success of this restaurant and expansion with each year! God...
Read moreEdit: This was one of my favorite mexican restaurants in the area, but having been there a few times since my initial review something changed and the quality of the food and service went downhill significantly while still having the same wait times. For example, the bread on my torta was cold, spongy and dry when it was never like that before. The lady that usually waits tables there is great, but there was a male server that waited my family's table the last time I went that just acted miserable the whole time and didn't seem suited for a customer facing role. This soured an already unsatisfying meal experience and I can't recommend this place anymore unless something changes.
Old review: Fantastic food and service for a great price. All of the food is made fresh so any wait while dining in is...
