Aside from all the usual Mexican fare that is very good, this place has really great burritos wrapped in homemade tortillas.
They are long and skinny and come in three varieties: deshebrada (shredded beef) with green sauce, pork with red sauce or grilled poblano and cheese.
These burritos are amazing, and would be a great candidate for a show like Diners Drive-ins and Dives.
I stopped in there by chance one day, and discovered these burritos that have become my all-time favorites ever.
The neighborhood can certainly be sketchy, and if you are not the regular type to frequent there, the patrons might look at you like, "what the hell are you doing in here?" But the restaurant staff are friendly enough and definitely committed to making great food. The place is very small inside, and can it be jam-packed at times, so I'd recommend taking it to go. If you get the long skinny burritos, make sure to have plenty of napkins, as the sauce tends to run out the bottom. So freakin' good though!
Totally worth it to take a chance and try this place! My favorites are the deshebrada with green sauce followed by the pork with red sauce, and two of these at under $3 each fills me up.

Read moreI ordered the Chilaquiles Carne Asada plate I was charged $27 when most places in the area only charge 12.99 for this plate. I Don’t mind paying for good food. Price is not an issue but quality of food and the quality of service is upon getting home and tasting the food. It was horrible. My steak was overcooked and the Chilaquiles bland with no flavor at all after two bites I immediately went back to tell them and requested a full refund. They denied my refund and told me that I had ate the food and they will not be giving me a refund. I was shocked at the low quality of service! No only that the manager proceeded to try and coach me and say “you should think next time before you eat at a Mexican restaurant if you are going to like what you order!” Wow! Not only was the food trash but the service too? Good luck you lost a customer! Oh and by the way I’m Mexican to.. PEOPLE PLEASE DONT GO HERE THIS PLACE IS NOT ONLY PRICE GOUGING THEY DONT KNOW GOOD SERVICE...
Read moreI really, reeeeally liked and enjoyed the food of this place. Very good burritos with real homemade flour tortillas, gorditas are spectacular and authentic like in Durango. I also ordered a Torta de Pierna... ooh well, my, my, my... the best!! My son ordered a Durango style hamburger, and he loved it, but he loved my torta more. I highly recommended this place. They not only have Mexican goodies but also have real, delicious, Mexican style dishes. 3 stars for the atmosphere because, in my opinion, this place is more like a restaurant than a taquería when they have an extensive menu. It is very informal. I'd like the owners to put a little love and effort in order to make the place look more beautiful. Anyhow, that won't stop me from coming back soon. FYI: burritos are great, big, and...
