William H. Winslow House - Frank Lloyd Wright — Attraction in River Forest

The Winslow House was on a Chicago tour through Oak Park, IL where there are several Frank Lloyd Wright houses. If you can attend such a tour, you won't be disappointed. The Docent was knowledgeable and fun. Wright is not one of my favorite people. His homes were costly and substandard. If you had a leaky roof and complained to him, he ignored you. After the house was built, he figured it was the owner's problem. But he lived in Oak Park and didn't see anything wrong with peering into windows of his homes to make sure the resident hadn't added furniture or curtains not within his liking or suitable to the style of the home.
