I usually don't write reviews, but after my experience at Valhalla Bar and Grill, I felt compelled to share my thoughts. This place has a lot of potential, but unfortunately, it completely fell short in so many areas that I can't justify more than a single star. From the moment I walked in, I was hoping for a pleasant experience, but instead, it turned into a frustrating, disappointing evening.
First off, the service was incredibly slow. We were seated promptly, which was the only positive part of the visit. However, after being seated, we waited nearly 20 minutes before anyone even acknowledged our table. We could see servers milling about, yet not a single one bothered to greet us or take our drink order. When the server finally arrived, she was clearly overwhelmed and disorganized. She took our drink order, and it took another 15 minutes before our drinks arrived — a simple beer and water. At this point, I was already annoyed, but I thought I’d give the benefit of the doubt and wait for the food.
When the food finally came, it was a whole new disaster. I ordered the signature burger, which, according to the menu, was supposed to be a juicy, flavorful masterpiece. What I received was a dry, overcooked patty, a sad, wilted lettuce leaf, and soggy, unseasoned fries. The bun was stale, and the whole thing was just bland — nothing like what I had hoped for. My companion ordered the chicken wings, and they came out rubbery and underseasoned, which was a real letdown considering this is a bar and grill that should specialize in comfort food. It honestly felt like the kitchen just didn't care about the quality of the food it was sending out.
To make matters worse, when I pointed out the issues with the meal, the server just shrugged and said, "Sorry about that," offering no solution or attempt to fix the situation. No apology from management or any effort to make us feel valued as customers. We were just left to sit there, feeling ignored and unimportant. The lack of customer service was appalling. It was as if no one cared about our experience, and they were just going through the motions.
The atmosphere, which I had hoped would be a redeeming quality, was also disappointing. The lighting was way too dim, making it hard to even read the menu, and the music was so loud that it was impossible to have a conversation without shouting. It felt more like a nightclub than a cozy, casual bar and grill, which completely ruined the vibe. I wasn’t looking for a wild, noisy experience — I just wanted to enjoy a nice meal in a relaxed setting.
Another issue was cleanliness. The restrooms were downright disgusting — dirty floors, overflowing trash bins, and a strong unpleasant odor. The whole place felt like it was in desperate need of a deep clean, and it definitely didn't give off the impression of a well-maintained, professional establishment.
At the end of the night, I was left feeling more frustrated than anything else. I didn’t even finish my meal, and we decided to leave as quickly as possible. We paid the bill — no offer for compensation, no attempt to make up for the terrible service or subpar food — and walked out, swearing never to return.
Valhalla Bar and Grill has a lot of room for improvement. I don't know if it was an off night, but based on this experience, I can't see myself ever coming back. It's clear that the staff lacks the basic training needed to provide decent service, and the kitchen seems to be cranking out subpar food without any real care for quality. With so many great options out there, there's no reason to waste your time or money here. This was hands down one of the worst dining experiences I've had in a long time.
Do yourself a favor and skip Valhalla. There are plenty of other spots where you'll actually feel like your business is appreciated and where the food and service meet even the smallest of...

Valhalla presents itself as a community hub, but my experience has been the opposite. Instead of creating belonging, the leadership has fostered exclusion, intimidation, and an environment that pushes out those who don’t conform to their narrow standards.
I was trespassed without just cause — not for violence, not for threats, not for endangering anyone — but for being different. That decision was not about safety; it was about control, discrimination, and avoiding accountability. If I had been punching people, maybe it would make sense. But in reality, this came down to bias, gaslighting, and an effort to isolate me instead of addressing concerns honestly.
This matters. When a business takes it upon itself to trespass and silence people unfairly, it’s not just a personal issue — it becomes a community issue. It violates the basic principles of fairness, due process, and human dignity. Everyone deserves to feel safe in public spaces without fear of being targeted or humiliated.
That is why I am directly calling on Valhalla’s ownership — especially Pauly — to take accountability and undo this trespass. The right thing to do now is clear: reverse the decision, acknowledge the harm it caused, and rebuild trust by demonstrating that leadership is capable of acting with integrity, not intimidation.
Valhalla could still be a place that represents the values of community, equality, and fairness. But that can only happen if its leaders are willing to act like adults, face the truth, and make this right. Undo the trespass. Do better. Show the community that accountability still...
Read moreIt's honestly unfortunate that I have to leave this negative review because the food is actually really good and easily the best wings in Pullman. The customer service is incredibly lacking, however. I ordered wings for pickup (before 10 o'clock when minors are allowed to do so) and I was treated with disrespect from the moment I walked in. I talked to the friendly cashier lady who was ringing up my wings only to be greeted by one of the tall muscular bar tenders. This bar tender kept harassing me for an ID despite me trying to explain that Its not 10 o'clock and I was only there to pickup my wings. Except, he didn't let me utter a single word because he kept trying to ID me. It wasn't until my original cashier had to tell him to back off that he finally gave in and walked away. He was completely disrespectful and was obviously riding a power trip because he knew I was under 21. If this is how every customer is treated, BEFORE TEN, then this place seriously needs a management clean up because its not acceptable. Not even a coupon could make up for this because I don't even want to walk in there again because I know I'll just get harassed by the bar tenders for an ID. Here is a suggestion for the owner: Either move your cash register to a different location that isn't behind a bar or add another one so that your bartenders don't harass the minors that come in before 10. That, or educate your bar tenders well enough that they know the rules to their own work establishment because there is clearly an underlying problem there. Again, completely regrettable experience and I'd hope...
