We want to share with you a fantastic BBQ restaurant south of Phoenix! The Woodbarn BBQ has fantastic smoked BBQ meet and great prices. We had Brisket Sandwiches and it was some of the best brisket we have ever had! YUM YUM YUMMY. I work just down the road from this new marvelous BBQ spot, myself and my coworker had been anticipating its opening before the pandemic hit and seems they may have pushed their opening date, or it just worked out they opened after things had calmed down.. either way, I am very pleased that we stopped in today to give them a try. The BBQ sauce is so sweet and savory, if you don't like super sweet, you may need to ask for the spicy BBQ, but I guarantee the stuff they have out it fabulous. The Brisket was so moist and flavorful it doesn't even need the BBQ sauce, but adding the BBQ sauce made it even better, also had some pulled pork that was also tender and moist with great flavor, but like most pulled pork there is not much flavor, so adding their sauce to the pork was magnificent. Can't wait to get back over there to try out the Turkey, sausage and ribs, I'm sure they will be just a delicious as our meal today. Thank you Woodbarn BBQ for opening where you did and during such uncertain times, I have no doubt ya'll will be successful for years and years to come! (See pic, I wanted to try it so bad, I forgot to take a picture until after I started eating)

Didn't want to drive all the way to downtown Gilbert tonight for BBQ. Glad I was lazy because we were super satisfied with our BBQ options here. Full order of Brisket and Ribs were devoured. Sausages were good but we may try something else next time. Beans and mac'n'cheese were yummy. Really love how the sauces and condiments are individually packed. Their house BBQ sauce is good but do yourself a favor and ask for the spicy version! Parking near the restaurant was horrible at 6pm on a Friday. Dining area is kinda small but other people (like me) were just there for pickup. Online ordering form worked great by the way. Was in and out quickly. Overall great meal. We're going back for sure!

When in the SE Valley drive by all the other "bbq" places until you reach Woodbarn. The food is so fresh and flavorful. I love that the path to the door takes you by the smoker. Take a whiff and let your imagination guide you inside. My husband and I recently visited Woodbarn. We felt welcomed the moment we walked into this cute and unassuming spot. The young man who took our order was incredibly polite and attentive. Both of us ordered sandwiches - mine being the brisket and my husband's the pork (which he made "Carolina style" which means it had Coleslaw and Carolina sauce). Our side was the awesome Mac and Cheese. One thing you need to know...this is no soupy Kraft variety Mac and Cheese. This is a sturdy, cheesy dish that could be a meal on its own. So good!! I'm glad we were asked if we wanted any cornbread because I would've hated missing that. Cornbread should have corn in it and theirs does. It's so moist and popping with flavor. Back to my sandwich. The brisket has been smoked to absolute perfection. It was so tender that it just melted into every bite. My husband liked the pork but commented that next time we will both get a 1/2 lb. of meat each, a side and then split it, doing away with the bun. If you want a sandwich, get a sandwich. But, the meat alone... As a nice ending to our meal, my husband got a serving of bread pudding, which I don't care for. He made me try it and I'm so grateful he did! This isn't "normal" bread pudding. It's a bit of warm, sweet deliciousness that I wasn't expecting to like. I know better for our next visit. I wish I didn't live over an hour away because Woodbarn would become my second home. When nearby this is...

What a disappointing experience. Over the past few weeks I've driven past this restaurant on my way home from work and was looking forward to trying out some quality "Q". Based on the past reviews, it's clear to me now that these, most likely, were reviews uploaded by friends or family of the place. I consider myself a BBQ enthusiast and enjoy seeking out others who have the same passion for great BBQ. This place definitely doesn't know what they are doing when it comes to BBQ. Never in all my years have I seen BBQ presented with a grey tint. This was my experience with the sausage. The brisket was bland and on the dry side so I decided to drizzle a little of their house bbq sauce on it. I instantly knew that was a mistake because the overly sweet bbq sauce definitely overpowered what little flavor the brisket had to offer. My son ordered the pork sandwich. The only thing I have to say about the sandwich is there wasn't one ounce of pride or bbq love given to it. We sat there in disbelief, because the overall appearance of the restaurant and the joyful aroma outside was magnificent. The staff greeted us with smiles and we're the most pleasant thing I can say about this place. When we left we decided to seek out the source of the lingering aroma. We drove around the back of the place and they actually have a very nice custom rig for smoking. Unfortunately the Pitmaster is clueless on how to use it because the meats available had little to no smokey goodness and tasted as it was boiled or steamed. Nothing about the BBQ Restaurant is BBQ. If you like counterfeit "Q" this place is for you. True BBQ...
