Let’s give El Novillero a proper welcome since they introduced Quincy to the Birria Pizza.

I was intrigued from the second I heard it: Birria Pizza! My inner fat kid and Mexican senses were running wild! I had so many questions: Who thought of this? How do the make it? Why did I have to wait 33 years of my life?

I took a trip there after work and placed my order. 10 minutes later I was welcomed with a warm smile and the smell of some incredible Birria. While driving home, the food was making my car smell delicious lol. I had to stop and eat a slice. It was so good I didn’t care that I made a mess in my car. After I got home I was only able to finish half. Dang thing barely fit in a medium pizza box.

After a great first experience, I’m wanting to go back and try out...

First of all, the food was alot better than people have given credit for. We ordered a Carne asada plate and it came with a Chile toreado! Ordered the Mojarra and it was crispy and juicy. Service was not great. We had to ask for place settings, napkins and straws. We had a few mommy drinks and wow. Price gouging to the max. $20 for a shot of Cazadores seems way steep, and I also got charged for a drink I didn't have. The owner seems like a very nice person, but he definitely needs a manager that knows about business, not a little cocktail waitress that worked for another small bar here in town!

Oh and be prepared to pay cash or a pretty steep card usage fee. No es muy...

Firstly, my party and I had to wait for an excruciating 45 minutes for our food to arrive. Despite being hungry and eager to eat, the long wait made the experience very unpleasant and frustrating. To make matters worse, the restaurant was absolutely freezing. I had to keep my coat on throughout the meal.

I understand that sometimes new restaurants can get busy and delays can happen, but 45 minutes is a long time to wait for food, especially when you're hungry and looking forward...
