Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Quincy

Sonic has a breakfast menu all day, it's great for people that work a later shift that want breakfast before work, like me! My visit today around 11:20a was pleasant. There was no one in line for the drive-thru when I arrived, but there was a fair amount of people at the parking spots to keep them busy, but this did not take away from their friendliness! The lady who gave me my order was nice, she kept forgetting that she gave me straws for my drinks, which was funny. I ended up with an extra one anyways. I tried some new things today and everything was delicious. Everything I will be getting again. I've never had Sonic breakfast before but I've also only been there a handful of times. The Cold Brew vanilla iced coffee was not too strong, not too sweet. The Strawberry Limeade was way better than I was expecting..it sizzles in your mouth! Very delicious and refreshing. The breakfast sandwich was also good!(sausage, egg, and cheese toasted sandwich) the eggs tasted real..unlike some questionable "eggs" I've had from...

The hot dog had a bit too much mustard on it but it was still delicious. The cheesy tot however, that's another story. They tasted old, were luke warm, and instead of cheese sauce they half way melted a slice of cheese on a few of the tots. I was really disappointed. At the Hannibal Sonic when I got my cheesy tots they were covered in a cheese sauce, not a slice of cheese that was only half melted. They were also hot and fresh. I don't see me ever visiting a Sonic restaurant in Quincy again. If I decide to throw my money in the garbage again, I think I will gamble on the Hannibal restaurant. I might have a longer wait time but the quality of the food will be worth the wait. As bad as the cheesy tots were, the staff was wonderful, very accommodating, and extremely nice and friendly. They need a chef! Someone that cares about how the food goes out. Twice cheese stix over cooked and no cheese in them. Breakfast burritos raw veggies ewe. Been here 4 times since open and won't go back till they get a staff that cares about the food they put out. Fast food or not they need to care. And lastly 3 times I got slushies NOT mixed. Flavor all at the bottom over powering flavor. I have spent 8 years in culinary have managed a few fast food restaurants and I am very sry but these people are so understaffed that NO one cares . So sad for a place that just opened. I get the mid west is nothing but drinkers and religious freaks but you should still care about your food you are...
