The owners of this establishment should be ashamed of themselves for the way they treat their customers their customer service is pathetic I ordered the ribeye steak steak sandwich cooked medium rare I waited for almost 30 minutes during my almost 30 minute wait I had to endure the most vulgar language from their off duty employees who were sitting at the bar from scanning the other patrons in the restaurant and making very Unappropriate comments finally I received my order I left just to come home just across the street and find out that my order is incorrect I instantly took my order right back across the street and asked for the general manager and was told that he wasn’t here today I stated I just saw him while I was there so she tells me again he was not here all of sudden she comes back with him and I asked her why did she lie to me she gave me a real dirty look and walked away so the general manager says well take the food and he would give my money back I told him that I didn’t want the food so he tells the bartender to give me a refund she was helping other customer’s at that second so the general manager goes in his pocket and pulls out a $20 bill and throws it at me on the counter and says here is your money I have never been so humiliated in my life to have money thrown at me what a shame that you are treated like this in this...

We went there 5/5/2023. We ordered a appetizer and 2 steaks medium rare with baked potatoes. Steaks were so tough it was like sawing through meat with the knife. We both took one bite and chewed forever. I've personally never chewed a steak the was "supposed " to be cooked MR for so long my jaw started hurting. Needless to say neither steak was eaten and when our server asked if everything was okay and we both complained without skipping a beat she replied "well it is a tough cut of beef." Funny thing is that it had nothing at all to do with the steak but everything to do with how it was cut and prepared. I order the same cut at another restaurant and it's like cutting butter. Yet we paid the bill even left a generous tip(that we shouldn't have especially with her excuse) and will never eat there again. Lesson learned. Even when you think it may be fancy or something different stick to place's that if your food ever came out of the kitchen and neither person could eat it they at least try to make it right and not make excuses. Food for thought..pun intended. That by far was not service I would applaud, appreciate or return to. I'd rather spend over...

We were staying overnight in Quincy Illinois and after driving all day along the Great River Rd,we wanted a nice dinner close to our hotel.

For some reason the reviews were not great but we decided to give The Abbey a try and we are glad we did! We were seated immediately . We explained to our server Sally they my wife is Gluten free and she was super helpful. They offer a nice menu with a wide variety of food options.

We started with their drink specials..a frozen vodka drink and a Redemption bourbon double. Prices were super cheap in our opinion.

My wife had the baby back ribs with mixed vegetables and they fell off the bone. Sauce was amazing.

I had their Surf and Turf special . Steak was cooked just right and the shrimp stuffed with crab meat were very good. Portions were huge and unfortunately we could not take anything home since we were staying at a hotel.

This is a family owned and operated that feels like home. Decor is really cool and definitely a place to stop in whether just for drinks,...

This was a very lovely place. There was a little bit of a wait to get in but overall not too bad. We had a kind, prompt server who took very good care of us. Unfortunately, it was a little bit loud due to a large crowd sitting right next to us. Our orders were taken quickly. They had a special rum and Coke. Super good deal for a double $6.50. My husband and I both ordered ribeye steaks with salads. Salad dressing was delicious and had quit a lot of veggies on it for topping Our steaks were perfect and cooked to our liking. Loved the twice baked potato and wow to the bread! My son had corn dog bites and they were super good too I had to steal one. We enjoyed our dinner and we would definitely come back. Recommend this place!

We ordered the fillet with the bubbly blue cheese sauce and baked potatoes. I had the white cheddar cheese chicken noodle soup and my husband had the salad. They also give bread. It was absolutely delicious. The steak was so tender and cooked perfectly. The bread was hot and soft. The soup was so good. I mean the whole meal was just right. Could not have been any better. We also ordered stuffed mushrooms. They were okay. Not something I’ll order again but the rest? You bet. I’ll be back for that. My only complaint is the price. It was very high. We spent over $100 plus left a $30 tip so we won’t be coming as often as I would like!!
