I had several rings I needed resized and updated. I worked with Bruce and he was very helpful in fulfilling my requests. I had my old wedding band removed and replaced with an updated band. I also wanted to keep my engagement ring, but update it. He gave me some options and they created a beautiful wedding ring for me! I love it! I also had a sapphire ring that had a chip at the “point” end of the pear shaped gem. Bruce again offered several options. Emerald City created a nice little pendant out of my chipped sapphire and we replaced the chipped gem from ring with an Australian John Ford black Opal! He was in the store recently and I got to see and learn about these opals. A wonderful experience and ECJ hosted a wonderful evening of appetizers and cocktails. I think I chose the least expensive Opal out of the collection, but I love it! One thing I like about Emerald City Jewelers is they are not “Pushy” with offering more expensive pieces beyond your budget. They work with in your budget. Let me preface this by saying I rarely write reviews unless I receive either exceptionally terrible or fantastic service. After shopping my custom wedding ring idea at all the other jewelers in Quincy I could not be more pleased with the service I was provided at Emerald City. They understood my vision of the perfect ring and executed it to a T.

I came in with an idea for a custom ring based loosely off of some pictures i'd seen online, not even sure it was possible to make it. The ring was a white gold tree branch with 2 raw/uncut diamonds on either side and one cut diamond in the center. Sheri & the rest of the staff were able to order the uncut diamonds directly from the mine, altered the wax molds we had made for the band to my specifications and kept me updated and accepted input throughout the process. I brought in a chain that had a broken clasp. I wear the chain and the accompanying cross (with a little dove on it) every day. John took care of me by sending in my chain to be fixed/replaced. I told John the story of a woman who had admired my cross and asked where I got it. I had told her it was a gift from my husband 15 years ago and I wasn't sure if it could even be found anymore. John did the research and finally located the same cross and I was able to order one to give to her. In the meantime, knowing how much I missed my own cross around my neck each day, John was able to come up with a chain to loan me so I would not be without my cross while waiting for my repair work to be completed. John went above and beyond and was as teary eyed and sentimental as myself when we were able to come up with another cross to give to my friend this Christmas as she lost her husband right after Christmas a few...
