Underbrink’s Bakery, LLC — Restaurant in Quincy

When I was growing up, my birthday cakes weren’t fondant; they were hand-drawn with icing. I live 1.5 hours from this bakery, but when I saw the hand-drawn cake pictures, I knew I had to order a cake from here. She has met, if not exceeded my expectations! The cake was absolutely amazing! Not to mention, it was delicious!!! Everyone at the party raved about how cool the cake looked, then we cut into it; & everyone raved about how tasty it was! I am beyond satisfied. She was very pleasant to work with; responded to my e-mails promptly & professionally. While pulling out of the parking lot with the cake, something fell on the cake! THE best cheesecake I've ever had anywhere. A+.

It made the cheesecake factory (which I tried the day after I had the plain NY style cheesecake from Underbrinks) taste like the cheap, flour-filled yuck that it is.

The people at this bakery were also super nice.

I also got a red velvet cupcake which, to be fair, although delicious, was not the best I ever had. A-.

The cake itself was perfect but the buttercream frosting was not the right choice. Reasonable folks may disagree, but red velvet should always be accompanied by a cream cheese frosting, in my humble opinion, as the buttercream was overpowering for the cake.

I'll be going back here for sure to try...

I’ve been visiting Quincy to see family for more than a decade. Today was the first time I was treated to trying an Underbrinks cake. This is a life-changing cake. My child ate their piece of cake in front of me and for 5 minutes I could smell the vanilla and sweetness. The cake had a true spring to it. It was by far the best Bakery cake I have ever had. I’m thoroughly ticked that my cousins have been hiding this cake shop. From now and forever I will be buying a “just because cousin Whitney” in-town cake so I can have a few slices.
