Caicu Bar — Restaurant in Río Grande

My wife and I are about to finish up our honeymoon here in Puerto Rico, and as fans of the phillies, they had the game on every night during the post season. John(I believe his name) and Mia are so great, along with another man who has gauges in his ears and a near shaved haircut - all 3 have been the utmost professional and very skilled as bartenders/mixologist.

We took John's recommendation for Ron del barrilito rum, being p.r.'s oldest rum distillery in operation, loved the drink enough to go tour the distillery, and now have a new favorite sipping rum.

At first, the night at Caicu started horribly. We waited over an hour for drinks while two workers kept walking by us, ignoring our requests for assistance. It was incredibly frustrating.

However, things turned around when James, the head bartender, came over. He was extremely attentive, promptly got us our drinks, and sincerely apologized for the delay. His professionalism and dedication saved the night. Despite the rocky start, James' exceptional service made a significant difference.

Staff don’t seem to have any common sense. Brought me sushi with no soy sauce or chopsticks. Asked two different waiters to bring me some and never got them. Also forgot to bring half of our table’s food and we had to order again. Waited 20 minutes to get our check and had to eventually ask them again for it. Disaster service. And they have the nerve to charge an 18% service fee. Plus music is way too loud and everything is over priced, like the rest of the restaurants at this resort. Food was...
