Tiki Hut — Restaurant in Río Grande

Ambiance is great but the food is really awful, overpriced, takes a thousand years, and doesn’t match the description on the menus. Waited 43 minutes (and were the only people there) for a cuban panini and a chicken gyro. The cuban panini was’t a panini at all, just a sandwich on ciabatta bread. It was supposed to have “succulent pork” but just had regular sliced ham with some turkey. It definitely was not a cuban. Not sure why they called it a cuban or a panini at all. So i paid $21 for a ham sandwich that took 43 minutes to get to me. The chicken gyro barely had any chicken which was a good thing i guess since it was very chewy. Eat anywhere else on the wydham’s property...

Atmosphere is great- pool and beach right there! Staff works hard and is ready to help with anything. We came here several times and can say everything on the menu is good- depending on your personal flavor choices. What we likes: Cuban panini, chicken gyro, chicken burger, quinoa bowl, catch of the day, mahi skewers, smash burger. The cocktails are made well- really liked their Mai Tai. It’s not I expensive- but that’s the same for all the restaurants...

My friend and I are staying at Margaritaville and have frequented the Tiki Hut, through Wyndham. We were blessed to have met the bar tender, Warren, who went out of his way to make us the best frozen coco loco over in the Margaritaville bar due to the Tiki Hut being closed for renovations.
