Given the wide ranging reviews, I want to leave an open minded review. We ate here 2 nights. The first for sushi, the next for hibachi. Make sure to book reservations early b/c there aren't many options for food outside of the resort so it fills up fast, esp the hibachi. They only open at 6 so coming in later with tired kids would suck. We have 2 young boys (11, 7yo) so the semi-loud music is not very great when you're tired. On a scale of 1-10, I would put the loudness at 6 - not terrible but I would prefer less noise. As all places on the resort, the menu is limited so if you're looking for tons of options, you'll be disappointed, however; the food we had was quite good! We had salmon sashimi, salmon sushi, a rainbow roll, california roll, eel, edamame, tempura shrimp, and calamari. All were delicious. The waiting staff was attentive and kind. I eat a lot of sushi so I consider myself credible when reviewing quality and I would say this sushi was quite good 8 out of 10. The seating at the smallish table was a little tight for 4 but spacing between tables was't bad, not on top of each other. The restaurant is separated into sections which are almost closed off like rooms and quite dark. Definitely has a night scene feel vs a family restaurant with no natural light or views. The tip was included on the bill at 18% (not the 16% listed on Hyatt's site), and the bill came to about $150 - little steep for water and a little sushi but not unexpected for a resort. The 2nd night, we went to the hibachi side. Same food options but the chicken/beef/rice is cooked right in front of you. We saw the next table's chef which was pretty funny while ours did his best and was nice. The food was greasy but I think most hibachi cooked food is. The quality of food was better w/sushi than the cooked foods. Overall, I think the harsh reviews are way over done but hopefully will lower expectations and give you a pleasant surprise. Enjoy your stay, be grateful to afford this place because most people here cant! Have a great time, it's...

We were very excited to try Nori, but this the was food that we were served at a 5 star resort.

The salmon was cut wrong. Either they gave us part of the gill plate (it was hard) or they served us part of the salmon that was not bled properly and turned tough (pic 1).

The bill came to $230+ this was the “nigiri” we were served. I cannot even comment on the taste because there was nothing there in terms of fish. It was essentially a double serving of rice to make up for the lack of fish?? On top of that not properly packed so it fell apart when you put one corner in the soy sauce. Please before you go look at these pictures.

Finally, the waiter spilled beer all over my 15 year olds white dress, and while he was apologetic we never saw a manger, or were offered anything. We used the napkins off our lap to clean up the spilt drink, which I had to replace myself by taking from the server station.

When I asked to speak with the manager, I walked him to the table of uneaten food and asked if this was a standard portion. Of course he apologized and offered 20% off the bill, I responded by saying we didn’t even eat half the food and if that was his answer the restaurant clearly needed it more than me, he then offered to take off the uneaten food.

Please do not give this place your money. It is actually un edible. The bar has amazing pizzas for $13 and...

We made a reservation for the hibachi at Nori several weeks in advance to only have it be unconfirmed upon arrival.

When we arrived for our reserved time at 8pm, the host confirmed our reservation and said we were going to be seated at the hibachi in “2-3 minutes”. They had us wait 30 minutes to only tell us that our reservation apparently did not have the hibachi option.

The host then reversed her previous statement that we had a hibachi reservation and proceeded to matter-of-fact reprimand us for apparently not booking the hibachi when we reserved weeks before and confirmed at check in with them. This whole interaction was incredibly unprofessional.

They apparently were not able to accommodate us for the hibachi and sat us at the regular tables, half an hour late from our reservation. Our waitress was very nice and gave us a free appetizer and desert after we asked for compensation for the trouble. Food was good but the initial impressions left a lasting...

Our waiter Eydan was brilliant throughout. Very friendly and attentive. Our teppanaki chef Jordy (not sure about spelling), was extremely talented and friendly. All our food was perfectly cooked. However all the food was very salty. The whole experience was fun and pretty quick ie sat, served and finished in an hour. We had spicy chicken, shrimp,?lobster, scallops and baby octopus, along with friend rice, noodles and starter were pork rolls and miso soup. It’s not cheap but worth the experience. Teppenaki stations were getting a little tired and need of a bit of tender loving care.
