Prime 787 — Restaurant in Río Grande

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Prime 787, and I can honestly say it was one of the best culinary experiences I've ever had! From the moment we arrived, the service was absolutely exceptional. Our server, whom I believe was named Pablo, went above and beyond to ensure that our evening was nothing short of perfect. His attentiveness and knowledge made us feel truly pampered.

We both ordered filet, and it was cooked to perfection—juicy, flavorful, and incredibly tender. Each bite was a testament to the skill of the kitchen! The sautéed mushrooms were a delightful complement, adding a rich and earthy flavor to the dish. And let’s not forget the mashed potatoes—they were creamy and perfectly seasoned, making them the ideal side.

The ambience at Prime 787 was pure romance. Soft lighting, tasteful decor, and a cozy atmosphere created the perfect backdrop for a special evening. It felt intimate and inviting, enhancing our overall experience.

To top it all off, the drink selection was out of this world! We enjoyed expertly crafted cocktails that perfectly paired with our meal, elevating our dining experience even further.

Visited Prime the night before our anniversary. Eric was an AMAZING server! He made sure to check in often to make sure there was nothing we needed.

I ordered a lovely specialty cosmo that tasted just as beautiful as it looked.

First came the bread. Some warm flat bread served with a delightful butter. Both served with an artist touch. Yummy!!

We both ordered filet medium with asparagus and corn chowder. Unfortunately they were out of asparagus. I went with mushrooms he went with mashed potatoes.

We waited a bit longer than we thought we would, but with Eric’s attention it was a breeze.

Our meals arrived and we were ready! Looked good! Steak was well cooked but kinda cold. I don’t like my steak well done so ok. My mushrooms were delightful!! My mouth waters just thinking of them. The mashed potatoes were buttery and melted in your mouth.

The absolute star of the entire meal for me was the corn chowder. I just loved it!!

Overall our bill was over $200 not really sure that was our experience but, hey a man’s gotta work. If you are not stuck on having steak run next door...

Had us seated at the table relatively quickly and so 1 star. The grilled chicken was seasoned well and still juicy so one more star. That's where the good things end. The server came over and served water and disappeared for 15-20 mins. I had to ask the host and then he re-appeared. We gave the order and I specifically mentioned to get whatever was ready first as the kids were already hungry and upset and parents were exhausted. The server disappeared again for 30 mins but we caught hold of him and asked him about the delay. He said everything is ready but the he was waiting for the chicken to cook. We again reminded him to get whatever is ready first. The fish of the day Mahi-Mahi was tough and dry around the edges. Wild rice was ok. Stuffed Mushroom was one of the biggest disappointments. You literally get 1 mushroom for $34. Don't even bother to order half stuffed mushroom from the appetizers menu for $24. Overpriced and not even...
