The Market — Restaurant in Río Grande

The signs states they open at 6am. My husband and I had a boating excursion planned to set sail at 9am. Therefore my husband went down to the Market at 6am expecting to be able to get us some food before we made the hour drive to the excursion. The market was not open. He waited till 7:15 and STILL NOT OPEN. The front desk had no idea what was going on and why they weren’t open. Their answer was that they will call us when the market opens. We had to leave due to having to make the drive to the excursion. We later called and apparently the marker didn’t open till 7:45 am. This is absolutely ridiculous for those that try to plan their day out or have activities with set times. We pay our daily resort fees yet can’t even access the amenities that are supposed to be open at said times. This was definitely less than a 1...

I get some people have complaints about prices on some items the milk for example in one review but I have to say that the good quality has been good especially the pastries and coffee. Plus it’s open 24 hrs. You can’t charge .45 for a banana and still pay people decent wages. That’s why a banana is $2. I will say the massive cookies (s’mores I’m looking at you) are really delicious. The staff in the market has offered to give me a soup sample and that is fabulous customer service. By the way I bought a cup of half and half myself for $5 so my guess is there’s a set price for these items. I’d eat from the market before I went back to...

The absolute ignorance, laziness, and lack of attention to detail by the employees is astounding. Asked for a caramel latte, so the employee asked another to help her out on what goes in a latte, the other employee described a macchiato so I clarified to ensure I was only getting caramel and they said yes it’s fine. Then proceeded to vanilla in a latte which is not what I asked for. Then instead of making espresso with their machine they’re just pouring black coffee into anything that requires espresso. Staff are also very rude when you confront them about how they’re making drinks...
