El Yunque Brunch, Coffee, and Bakery is a delightful spot tucked away off the beaten path. While it’s a bit tricky to get to off the highway, the experience is absolutely worth the effort. This family-run, cozy bakery radiates local charm, making you feel like a part of the community from the moment you step in.

The menu isn’t extensive, but it’s perfectly sized with a great selection of sandwiches, bakery items, and other delicious options. The food is fresh, flavorful, and satisfying, all at extremely reasonable prices—truly a fantastic value.

What truly sets El Yunque apart is the exceptional service. The staff goes above and beyond to make your visit special, offering AAA-level customer care. It’s rare to find such a welcoming atmosphere where both the service and even the clientele make you feel at home.

If you’re looking for a local spot with great food, affordable prices, and outstanding service, this is the place to go. I’ll definitely be coming back anytime I’m in the area! Highly...

Worst panadería in all of Rio Grande. First time I went they served me a coffee with the "milk skin". It turned my stomach. But I thought it was a one of thing. So I went back and they got my order wrong in the most epic way. Plus the coffee was still gross. Ham, egg & cheese sandwich had no ham. Turkey and Swiss had no Swiss. They charged my for a bread I didn't order and then didn't know how to refund me. Nothing worse then waking up in the morning ordering to go breakfast and having to go back. DO NOT EVEN TRY! UPDATE with suggestions to owner. Asumieron que con 2 quesitos se resolvía todo luego de yo ya haber comprado 3 quesitos. (Pa que yo quiero tantos quesito, pa que se pierdan?) Para la próxima pregunten primero cual postre me gustaría si alguno por la...

Nice local place run by responsible staff. Service was spot on (which is surprisingly hard to find these days) and I felt like one of the regulars even on my first visit.

The bread was fresh since it was still warm, crunchy, soft, and had the distinct chewiness of fresh bread. Las tostadas were made on order along with the coffee.

The prices were extremely reasonable and lower than I would’ve ended paying at the hotel for the same order.

Overall, for a 15 minute drive from the golf course it’s a great way to start the day or grab a quick bite along with helping small businesses...

Our Airbnb host recommended this place. However, we were not impressed. We got the egg white with turkey bacon. It was really bland. Don't think they even put salt in it. And it was turkey bacon as advertised, just turkey meat. The coffee and donuts were good though. So maybe we just didn't order the things that they do well at. They don't speak much English so would be helpful if you can order in basic Spanish.

Ordered an omelette, empanadas, and a mocha coffee. Everything was good! Omelette was surprisingly good for just having ham and slice cheese. Bread was soft and buttery. Beef empanadas were tasty. The mocha coffee was almost perfect except just one pack of sugar added. Staff were friendly. English menu but wish they would have all their prices listed. Overall, nice spot to grab brunch if in the area!
