Our first ever order of almond Kringle had quite the road trip journey. It was shipped but then had a weather delay due to a snowstorm. Where did it sit - on the UPS truck, in a distribution center? After the weather delay, we received notice it was delivered. But, alas, no delivery on our porch or by the garage. We assumed it went to a wrong address. The next morning , we checked the tracking further. What??? It was delivered and sitting in the snow, under a tree at the end of our 1/4 mile driveway. This was a new delivery spot for UPS. So, after retrieving from the snow and trekking back up the driveway my thought was that it’s probably stale and frozen by now. Got it in the kitchen. Admired the box and wrapping, opened it and said ‘oh let’s have a taste now’. Well, all I can say, after being delayed by weather and sitting in a snowbank overnight with below freezing temps, it was delicious. Absolutely delicious! We stood around the kitchen island, cutting piece after piece and debating which flavor we’ll order next. Kudos Bendtsen’s for having the best Kringle we’ve ever tasted ( straight out of a snowbank) and for keeping the family tradition going. We will definitely be...

We lived in the Kenosha/Milwaukee/Waukesha area of Wisc for much of our lives before moving to Florida. Being very familiar w/a competitor, we were intrigued by a Bendsten review. So, it was decided to give them a try. An order was placed for an almond, cherry and raspberry kringle. The $100 order was placed w/the understanding they only ship early in the week. It arrived in a timely manner.

We eagerly opened the cherry kringle and were immediately disappointed. To begin, the weight seemed to be anything but the stated 18oz. Perhaps a pound at best. Next, about 1/2 of the kringle was rolled out to about 1/8". Contrary to web page pictures, all three were naked of any adornment (ie frosting), lacked filling as noted on the web page pictures and were rolled out to about 1/8" on one end. Taste was dry, w/marginal (at best) flavor from what was called the filling.

As regular purchasers of on-line items we are used to the occasional disappointment. This purchase will be one of the higher on the list of failures. And, we will return to purchasing kringle from the competition. Unfortunately, experiences like this don't do much for Racine or...

My nephew works at O&H he pushes their Kringle like it’s a bar of gold, yeah it good but my cousin brought Bendtsen’s Kringle to a family gathering so we had both O&H & Bendtsen’s I wanted do a vote from everyone there who thought was the BEST. The votes were in & its Bendtsen’s #1!! Now don’t get me wrong getting free Kringle from O&H is a bonus but my choice is Bendtsen’s, the toasted pecan is bomb! The crust is so flaky and chewy at the same time. Flavor on point. It’s clear they make an awesome Kringle or they wouldn’t be open since 1934. I can’t wait to try more flavors. If u are craving Kringle definitely buy Bendtsen’s but preorder so yur not disappointed they go like HotCakes! Keep up the amazing work Bendtsen’s!! Love the family owned business! I would vote O&H #2 sorry nephew I can’t deny the best!! FYI, Racine Kringle doesn’t even compare to either O&H or Bendtsen’s. Way too doughy & tastes like fake flavoring, tossed the one I bought from Aldi’s after 1bite. Can’t wait to enjoy another Bendtsen’s Kringle!! Cream cheese will be my next flavor. 😋now I want a...

I have a friend who considers himself an Aficionado of the Kringle. he said if you ever go to Racine, you absolutely have to stop at Bendtsen's Bakery and get a Kringle. The drive into town from the interstate took only a few minutes, and the Delight that resulted from this little side trip was worth every minute. The staff was extremely friendly and greeted us immediately upon walking in. Our eyes were met with unbelievable sights. Delightful sites of Bakery Goods, Breads, and of course kringles. We ordered the apricot, and a cup of coffee, sat down and savored every bite. My wife bakes pies, and it is clear that real lard is used in the recipe. The flakiness and lightness of the pastry bread was undeniably delicious. If you're in the area, I would now pass on my friend's recommendation. You absolutely must take time and stop and come get a Bendtsen's Bakery Kringle.
