Apostoli Coffee — Restaurant in Radcliff

We came in here three times on our four day trip. some of the best coffee I've ever had. the first two days they had very high highs. the last day they had a very low low so that bumped them down a star. my girlfriend got caramel apple chai all three days we went. I ordered something different every time and was happy with all three of them. my girlfriend however had a different experience. the first time she got the drink was amazing and the second time she got it was even better. The third day we went at about 8:30am. It was completely empty. My girlfriend of course got the same drink. I got the toasty tiger, it was good. The service the first two days was great but the third day the lady who made our drinks was very distracted by another worker or friend the entire time and made my girlfriends drink wrong. I didn't watch her make it, but I know it was wrong just by the taste. We were in somewhat of a hurry to get home so we didn't bother to get it fixed. Final note, the worker made the drinks and left them behind the counter and was loudly laughing and chopping up with somebody in the back room. Our drinks sat there for 5 mins as I got louder and louder to get her attention. I am not a very loud person but I almost had to get there to get her attention. This morning was my first time trying Apostoli. The drinks were good and they accommodated my son by making a banana only smoothie instead of strawberry banana (but it was warm which was odd). He was really hoping for a candy (m&m) cookie but cannot have artificial dye. Hopefully they'll consider using naturally colored candies in the future (like Panera does). The lemon loaf had good flavor but was hard and cold. The chocolate cookie was also hard and cold. After standing around with a squirming 1 year old for quite awhile after receiving our drinks and noticing several people behind us had already received our food, I had to ask for ours. The cashier was struggling, and I had to remind her about their Tuesday smoothie sale among other things. All of the employees seemed nice though. We liked the openness of all the seating areas and that there was outside seating as well. With their rewards program, after spending $50 you receive $5 off. I just noticed several recommendations for brownies but did not see any when we were there at 11 am. Hopefully next time as we will definitely try it out again. Oh, and the iced white mocha...

Update: I appreciate the response which addressed my issue and encouraged a second chance. I visited this morning and by chance I met with AJ, one of the owners, and we had a nice chat. He reassured me that poor customer service is not the norm and nowhere near the standard. He also let me know that their equipment for the drive thru, that allowed for patrons to tip, was glitchy and crashed their system so they don't use it. He also let me know that most of the barista's are too shy or embarrassed to mention tipping but in no way are they ever encouraged to pressure patrons to tip. Our conversation left me with the feeling that my encounter was truly a one off and is the reason I changed my service rating from 3 stars to 4 stars. I have been going to this coffee shop for a couple of months now and I really do like their drinks.
