After going here twice “The Dawg House” is for, well… the dogs. I’m sorry the people are very nice but the service is super slow. I had to wait over twelve minutes from placing my order at the drive through just to get to the window to pay. Both trips took me at least fifteen minutes from order to food.
Let me also mention the very crafty and well planned drive through they do have because when you place your order you are forced to stay in line until it’s your turn at the window, meaning if the service is taking too long and you need to leave or you just want to go somewhere quicker, well that’s tough, because you’re stuck in line. The drive through is L shaped and the only way out is to back up and pray no car is behind you. If there is your fate is sealed.
Onto the food however my burger was fine but it was palm‑sized including the bun. The hot dogs I got for my grandmother made her sick, not sure if it was a topping or a bad dog, but she was miserable for four days. My second go around I only got a burger for myself and guess what? Same tiny disaster. I give every place two chances before I call it and this one flunked both.
And finally the prices of the restaurant are crazy. Small portions yet a single Polish dog with toppings and a bacon burger single patty cost me $12.76. No way just for a hot dog and burger, never mind the little bit of toppings, just stop there. At that price I could make eight hot dogs and four burgers at home. No one should pay these prices and because of that alone, plus everything else, this place isn’t worth your time. I had high hopes but I’m completely fed up after just two visits. And wont be...
Read moreMaybe I had the nostalgia of the original location with good food coming out of a somewhat hole in the wall. Maybe it was that the locals that hyped the original one up and those memories. That was also about 25 years ago. The BLT, their basic hotdog, were just average. I guess the Cheeseburger is the best thing I had. If you want something different you could try the polish dog. I have not been back to the original location but the fancy building here had me expecting a little more. Parking and the drive thru is a cluster when busy. On the last visit I decided to eat inside I was told at the counter to have a seat and they would come take my order. Then the server started having non-work conversations with other workers until more people came in and went to the counter and then she started taking their orders so just decided to get it to go and went back to the counter. Ate here 4 times and nothing really stood out. So if you are in the mood for burgers or dogs and only eating in the area once would recommend trying Hanks first. If it is a nice day and want a burger by the river try Delaney Kitchen in the sportsman on...
Read moreI'm convinced the quality has just plummeted in the past 6 months. This is the first time I've ever gotten on here to review a restaurant on Google, so that should tell you something..
Several months ago, I ordered a chicken biscuit that made me sick as a dog at work. Leading up to that, if you go through the drive-thu, they consistently give you the wrong order or get items in your order wrong.
I stopped eating here after I got sick, but I recently gave it another shot, hoping things got a bit better. Today, I put an order in at the drive-thru, and sure enough, I get down the road and my order is completely wrong and missing items.
The people who work here are super nice, and will fix things when you bring issues up to them, but it's a constant issue that has made me not want to eat here again. The food is outstanding when everybody is on their game, but they haven't been for...
