I enjoyed the 4th of July celebration they had there and it was amazing. Super chill vibe and the activities they had for kids (a bunch of cool bouncy house options and more) was soooo helpful for keeping my 6 year old from getting whiny. The bands were AMAZING!!! Jimmy Fortune headlines every year and I can't believe how cool and humble he, his wife and team are. It was a great experience. This park is super nice, too. Perfect setting, perfect environment, I'm def going back next year. Parking wasn't hectic, they had people to help direct traffic and also wonderful food vendors and other vendors were there. The respect shown for the veterans and soldiers was so heartwarming to experience and brought me to tears a few different times. They also wait long enough after the music ends before doing the fireworks to allow the people that sadly suffer from PTSD time to leave and not have to hear the bangs. This is a well thought out event that I recommend 20 stars out of 5 for....

Bisset Park is such a wonderful place! It is my favorite thing about living in Radford. There is no other park like it in the New River Valley. Lots of play area's for the kids, a track, long paved trails for walking, running, and biking, picnic spots and shelters, boat landings, and a beautiful scenic view of the river. This is an excellent spot for fishing, tubing, and swimming in the summer. I love how well kept the park is. You have to visit if you're ever in the area! Definitely checkout Wildwood Park as well, it is connected to Bisset Park. Great for watching wildlife, biking, or taking a nice stroll. Paved trails and off-road...

I’ve visited Bisset Park in Radford multiple times, and it never disappoints!
The park is exceptionally clean and well-maintained. There are various picnic shelters that are perfect for family gatherings or just a relaxing day out. The extensive river walk area is a highlight, offering beautiful views and plenty of space for a leisurely stroll.
For sports enthusiasts, the park boasts multiple tennis and pickleball courts, as well as a beach volleyball court.
The restrooms are always clean, and there’s plenty of parking available, which makes visits hassle-free.
