Ba-Da Wings — Restaurant in Raleigh

Written at 5pm on a Friday night (2/17). I waited about 20-30 minutes for food (I forgot to time).

Environment 4/5 - Fun, casual, nice place to be with friends on a friday night Staff 4/5 - I saw 2 people on the floor and they were both very friendly. Food 2/5 - I just can't get behind it

$7 Cheese Fries (Appetizer) 1/5 - Fries from the frozen section at Walmart. 50/50 between deep fried or on a baking pan. Lotsa cheddar but doesn't taste like it.

$12.50 BBQ Burger 2/5 - Patty was burnt to heck, BBQ Sauce was okay but it made the whole burger squishy and fall apart, and the bun was the type you'd see in a grocery store for a lower price

$15 - 6-piece Boneless Chicken:

Chicken 3/5 - The chicken itself had a very thick breading. Very crunchy and dry in the middle. I personally like my wings juicier and with softer crust. It got the job done. Honey Teriyaki 2/5 - It felt like they went light on the dressing and it didn't WOW me. Tasted like a Wendy's baconator sauce but darker. Ba-Da BANG 2/5 - The "Medium spice" option but it didn't really feel like it. About Texas Pete level but it lingers instead of punches. They went VERY light on the sauce.

$4 Sweet Tea 4/5 - Really came in clutch during the whole experience.

The food's "good". 1/5 is inedible, 3/5 is alright, and 5/5 is mind-blowing. I'm fine with paying the amount I did but I wouldn't come here again.

If I were to recommend any changes it'd be to be more generous with the sauce, maybe switch fry brand and cooking method? the fries felt like a scam to me, keep the wings juicy, and be nicer to the burger. Maybe toasting the bun will stop it from falling apart or lightly pan-roasting the inner sides with butter (chef's kiss delicious). I'm pretty disappointed...

I was excited to try out a local wing spot with a late night menu right by my house. I was excited to see they had outside seating since the weather was perfect for enjoying outside. We walked in and spoke to the hostess and she was extremely friendly and even though it was the end of her shift, sat us outside with menus. She even told us bye when she was leaving. Our waitress was just horrible. She was prompt getting our beer, but after that she disappeared without even asking if we wanted to order food. (Even though we had menus that we were clearly looking at). My boyfriend had to go inside to get her so we could order. She came back outside and was very blunt and rude. I had to ask for another round of beer when she dropped off our food even though she could see my glass was empty. I have been a server for over 8 years, I know how it is sometimes, but please do your job regardless of how bad your day is. You make money by being polite and prompt, not being rude and just straight up lazy. Later on that night, our card got stuck in an ATM and we had no way to pay for our tab. She was a complete a-hole about it, and was so rude I almost walked out. Thankfully, a sweet couple over heard what was going on, and paid for our tab including a nice tip (recommend by me). So to our server: sorry you had a bad night and couldn't even manage to be polite to the two only tables you had. I hope you enjoy the generous tip, even though you did not deserve it. I will not be returning, ever again. Food was not worth it, and your servers need...

I meet my friend for lunch today and when I first walked in it was slightly busy and there was only one person working. Her name was Diane. I sat at the bar at first because I got there before my friend did, the waitress/bartender was already very spazzy and I waited 10 minutes before I even got to order my drink.. once I finally got my beer I went to a table to wait for my friend. She arrived shortly after and we both placed an order for our food. 30 minutes goes and we still didn’t have our food nor did she come check on us.. by this time there were a total of 3 people in there. My friend and I, a man at the bar, and a group of 3 whom had already had their food. So after the 30 mins goes by without our food I go up to Diane and ask how much longer our food would be, turns out she forgot to put our orders in.. so we wait another 10 mins for our food. While waiting, I order another beer, takes her 5 plus minutes to get the drink.. at this point she’s not even busy, she’s standing at the bar talking to someone else. Finally get the beer and the food and we were waiting for the checks. Well she comes up to me and ask me to come help her. I’m very confused but I say okay and I walk up to the bar, she then ask me to come behind the bar to help her charge our cards for the food bc she got my card and my friends card confused. I’m literally standing behind the bar as a customer helping her do her job. I have never ever had an experience like this. I will not be going back. Worst...
