Yall! Bar taco exemplifies top notch customer service and the food was delcious! Its almost as if the food tastes even better because of the customer service. So let me tell yall why Bartaco is lit. I ordered the lunch special/combo today, you get three tacos, and a salad with. I went to pick up my order for take out and I arrived back at work ready to chow down. Then I noticed that my salad is missing so I call Bartaco to let them know I did not receive my salad. They put me on hold and the manager speaks with me. I let him know about missing salad so he said it was rung up wrong. Without hesitation the manager takes down my address and personally delivers my tacos to me at work yall! To my pleasant surprise he hands me FIVE taco "tokens" for my troubles. Thats FIVE FREE TACOS for my consumption! The level of generosity and customer service Gary the manager took upon himself compelled me to write this review. Thank you so much for the kind words Gary. I will definitely be returning! Yall go eat at Bartacos for delcious food and exemplary customer service! 6 STARS! #bartacolife

Ate here for the first time while staying overnight in town today, and it was a very mixed experience. The restaurant itself is gorgeous and has a really great energy, and the servers are very friendly and helpful. However, the food itself - with the exception of dessert - certainly doesn't justify this place's prices. I tried four different tacos, and truly only loved one of them: the pork belly taco was delicious. The duck birria was okay, but the flavor profile didn't have a lot of depth and the three onions thrown on top didn't necessarily do the trick. The chorizo wasn't anything special, and I've had much better at much cheaper places. The shrimp verde taco just wasn't good: there's good spice, and then there's this. The four shrimp on the fourth taco were also overcooked. My street corn arrived after I had to remind someone I'd ordered it, and it was overpowered with lime flavor. Not to mention that my corn (as pictured) was starting to show symptoms of disease, and I'm glad I noticed before eating that. The only reason this isn't a 2-star review is the desserts, which were the meal's saving grace: best churros I've ever had, and the tres leches was delicious. The fact that I have to order using an app that saves my info wasn't great, either. All in all, I won't be back. It would be a really, really long wait just to order some desserts.

My husband and I came here on a Friday night, and we only had a short wait before being seated. You can order with the QR code at the table or with a paper menu. This was one of my biggest gripes about this place. If I'm going to a sit down restaurant, I don't want to fill something out to order whether that be on my phone or a paper. Just have the server take my order. We filled out the paper. The paper menu doesn't describe what is on the tacos at all, so I had to ask and make sure they left off some stuff I didn't want. I got a pork belly taco and the sesame ribeye. We also got the street corn and duck birria. The duck birria was probably my favorite item I ate. It had a nice kick and was very flavorful. The tacos were good, but they were small. They say that it is served family style, which doesn't really make sense to me for tacos. However, if you're going to do that, make sure the servers know which tacos are which. You don't have one server for your table and instead have various people stopping by. The lady who brought us our food was very confused and had trouble telling us which tacos were which. Additionally, we both ordered drinks and had to be carded when we ordered them and again when they were brought to us. This seems unnecessary and was annoying. I really liked the food, but the service makes me not want to come here again.

Their tacos are absolutely delicious! Service was great also. I asked the server to surprise me with how the rim of my margarita was presented and it came to me with half sugar rim/half salt rim. Awesome surprise and it was actually really good. We'll definitely be back again! ***Update*** We went back on June 14, 2020 to finally have a date night. They were social distancing with tables outside. We had to order our food and drinks with on our phone. Our drinks came out about 10 minutes later, but our food didn't come until we asked about it at 8:12 pm. We ordered it at 7:29pm and had been standing by the door for 15 minutes prior to that nectar it started raining. We saw 2 other groups who came in after us get their food before we finally asked. Once we got it, we saw that it had been sitting been there since 7:54pm. We had to take it home because it was still raining and the tables were wet and reheat our food. Not exactly what we had in mind for a date night and really not happy with the fact that they only had 5 tables and let our food sit back in the kitchen for an extra 18 minutes.

Shopping center/parking: North Hills can be a zoo, and if there are any events, you might as well not even try to go. The shopping center tends be clean, well lit at night, and offers a good diversity of shopping/eating. 3 levels of parking, plus an extension to the side. You can plan for a parking spot, again unless there’s an event going. Restaurant atmosphere/technology: unique mix of wood, white paint, and modernism. You scan a QR code on the table, order from the phone, and check out on the phone. No high pressure from any employee to buy more, but they still provide a differentiated experience. Food: The tacos are a good portion, I suggest you get around 3 per person. The food is really delicious, the salsa is a must, and the guacamole is pretty tasty. I had their famous lemonade and I was impressed because they squeeze the lemons right in front of you. The duck birria was so good, we got a second portion. The churros with chop plate were a nice treat to end a good dinner. Again, they were fresh and so good, that we got a second portion.
