Wow. I never leave reviews, but hoping this can bring some much needed change. I will start with the fact that the food was very good. HOWEVER, the service was a disaster. Of all the restaurant experiences I have had, this was one of the worst. It took a very long time to be sat and then even longer before we got a server. Several tables came and left because they never saw a waiter. Our table ordered 4 waters, 2 sprites and 2 cokes. The food came before the beverages and it took them three tries to get the drink order correct. One of the people at our table did not receive her food till almost everyone else had finished theirs, and one person got a completely wrong item. When time for the check, it still took forever to receive that! The ladies bathroom had no soap or paper towels. It was so disappointing. Local flavor, family run business...so much better than your standard "quesadilla/burrito" joint. I had the sepes (carnitas and barbacoa) and my wife had the huaraches. Everything was delicious, including the hot chips and salsa at the beginning. They even gave us a sampler of their guacamole, which was thick, flavorful, and almost as good as my home recipe (but you can't come over to my house, so this is the best YOU can get). Serving size was more than adequate (I left feeling full, and I'm a big guy). Service was friendly and timely. We decided to try this restaurant because we drove by… and boy are we happy we did! We moved from So California 4 years ago and have not found authentic delicious Mexican food until Now. The chips and salsa were amazing and the food was excellent. The service was great too! They haven’t been able to secure a liquor license since they opened so they are hurting because of it.
