So let me start off by saying that I visit this subway regularly, because it's close to work, and a cheap/quick lunch. Most of the time, the service is decent. The questionable characters working behind the counter this particular visit were new faces. To make a long story short, I ordered one of the 6" specials for $3. Today is Monday, so it was chicken teriyaki. Instead of the sandwich though, I wanted a salad. On the menu, it says to add $2 to ANY 6" sub to make it a salad. So I said to myself, " sure, I'll pay $5 for this salad. Well the lady makes it and asks if I want double meat. I said yes, so in my mind, I added 1.50 for that. Now I'm up to 6.50 for this salad. Cool. She rings me up, and it ends up being 9 and some change! So I say very nicely that there was a mistake and that it should be 6.50 plus tax. She and the other lady get kind of defensive and say that when you convert to a salad, you have to pay menu price for the sandwich, regardless of there is a special on it. IT SAYS ADD $2 TO ANY 6" SUB! The 6" sub I ordered was $3 Today. What's the problem? It made sense to me, but none the less, I ended up paying almost 10 dollars for a sub par salad. I could've just bought 2 6" subs, scraped the stuff into a bowl, and paid 6 dollars. Oh well. If that's the worst thing that happens today, I'd say it's going alright. Read moreMe and some friends came in to get food. The employee made our food, and then told us the machine was logged out and we couldnt pay until his manager got there and put in the password. We were confused why the only person on staff didn’t have the password to the register, but waited patiently for 45 minutes. I asked for a cup of water and the employee told me he couldn't give me a cup because his manager was “weird about it”. Once the manager arrived he offered us all free cookies. It seemed like a kind gesture but it took only a moment to realize he had added $4 or more to EACH of our totals. At this point we just wanted to leave and ended up paying the extra. However, the behavior the manager displayed was very dishonest and felt very deceptive.
