Let me start off by saying that this place is very close to my new home so I really wanted to like it. Trying this place was a mistake. Don't be fooled by the rating which is mostly by Americans who obviously have not tried the restaurants in Cary/Morrisville. I called in for a simple couple of orders to try the place for the first time. Chicken tikka masala and a chicken biryani. Order took about 20mins so it was quick. The biryani was disappointing and tasted like vegetable fried rice with pieces of chicken in it. How an Indian restaurant can screw up a simple Chicken tikka masala is beyond me. The curry was cold and the chicken tasted like it was spoilt. My pregnant wife unfortunately was the first one to eat it and being very sensitive to smell, immediately threw up. I confirmed it had definitely gone bad. I called up the restaurant to report and they argued that many people had ordered the same and never complained. I'm sorry but that is not how you take feedback. They asked to pick up another one but I wasn't ready so they later agreed to do a refund. I waited a week and got nothing back. Well, that was my last visit. I will not recommend this place after this incident. I would advise you to please check your food for rotten meat in case you order here.

I definitely recommend dining at Bombay Curry. I enjoyed the food đŸ‘ŒđŸŸI ordered Chicken Tikka and garlic Naan. The ambiance was basic but comfortable. Also I received great service, the servers were all very helpful and hospitable ✅

First time doing take out from this Indian Restaurant and looks like recently opened. Just did a small order for lunch to test out what type of Indian restaurant it was regarding if it was traditional or the gentrified ones. Ordered a butter chicken with some naan and one appetizer order of chicken 65 with mild spice level. The butter chicken was thick and not liquidy type as expected but still okay. The naan looked like to be the frozen packet ones but would have to eat in restaurant when it comes out warm in the restaurant compared to takeout where it’s cold and early stages of getting soggy. Finally my appetizer chicken 65 was not edible at all due to having bad oil fryer smell and very very well done on first bite. Both the chickens were oddly cut and shaped needed to be more of cube cut down. I probably would try again one more time before making a true final judgement on this place. I liked it because it was closer than brier creeks Indian restaurants and way closer than Cary’s . Maybe it was a bad day in the kitchen but who knows.

Only giving one star cause it won’t let me put 0. I ordered food on line that went thru at 7:01 saying it would b ready at 7:27. I went in the place about 7:30 and was told it wasn’t ready. I then saw the look on the manager/owner/whomever’s face (with no recognition about the order) and he asked how I ordered it and when I said online, he went to the computer. I could tell from his expression that he had not seen the order before then. He went in the kitchen and said something to the cook and came out to tell me it would be a few more minutes (although I realized it was probably just being prepared). Every time he gave somebody a to go order, he told me it was coming. I called it at 7:46 and told him to refund my order. He again went in the kitchen and told me it was coming now. I didn’t feel well and knew he was stilly lying so asked him to refund it again. He finally refunded my money and told me the food was ready so I could take it anyway, but it never came. I finally left (as, surprise, still NO food). Another gentleman came out the door to tell me to wait cause it was coming. I walked to my car slowly, left and drove in front of the place and still no food. It was now an hour so I left. The gentleman called me on my way home and told me the order was ready. I told him I was just pulling up at home. He said they were having difficulties (and although they did seem to be running slow, I was the only one to order 2 items and not have food in an hour). If he hadn’t kept lying to me, I could have made the decision to wait for my food or cancel at the beginning. Now over an hour & no food. I have a usual Indian Restaurant and guess I’ll be going back there. BIG disappointment Bombay Curry! I’ll be passing this info...

Beware online orders - my first two Uber eats orders never arrived at all. It was a nightmare to get refunded from Ubereats and so I switched ordering platforms - I just ordered via Doordash and had missing items, receipt on my bag stated they were ordered and inside, but when I opened the stapled bag, they were not - Doordash informed me the restaurant would not redeliver the missing items - when I called the restaurant the ONLY option the restaurant employee who answered gave me was to drive there to get them
which is not exactly the resolution I was looking for considering I paid and ordered delivery bc I don’t live close by. Basically know you can order and just hope your food comes and if not, you won’t get your food and maybe you get a refund through whatever platform you order on, but it’s annoying and stressful to deal with-Really unhappy with their lack of customer service. A shame bc I really love their food but it’s not worth the hassle especially if they aren’t willing to take accountability when they mess up in the kitchen bagging stuff and have issues with online ordering systems đŸ˜ąđŸ˜©stuff happens but I’d hope they would not be so dismissive to repeat customers - only so many times I can be willing to understand why my food I paid for doesn’t show up. Seriously sad bc I’ve ordered from here so many times but pretty much done now after the person at the restaurant was so unwilling to make it right when I called. It shouldn’t be on the customer to drive to you when you forgot to pack my items. Not a way to keep repeat business coming. Consider your customer service approach as this doesn’t make...

Let me start off by admitting that when it comes to Indian cuisine, my taste buds are about as well-traveled as a penguin in the Sahara. So stumbling upon Bombay Curry in the depths of the Harris Teeter shopping center felt like striking gold in a sea of sand!

Tucked away amidst the hustle and bustle, it was like embarking on a culinary adventure. But let me tell you, the hunt was absolutely worth it! The tantalizing aroma alone was enough to make my stomach perform a little jig of joy.

Now, onto the main event - the food. We must have resembled lost puppies as we stepped through the door, but the staff here truly deserves a standing ovation. Not only did they patiently guide us through the menu, but their recommendations left our taste buds in a state of blissful euphoria. I swear, one bite of their Korma dish and I was ready to pledge eternal loyalty to Bombay Curry.

And let's talk ambiance! Despite its modest size, the interior was a delightful surprise, boasting a modern charm that added to the dining experience. Opting for the outdoor seating, we found ourselves relishing our meal under the open sky, feeling like royalty in our own little curry kingdom.

In conclusion, Bombay Curry, you've not only conquered our hearts but also our stomachs! While we may not be seasoned Indian food connoisseurs, if loving you is wrong, then I don't want to be right. From now on, consider us your devoted patrons. Here's to discovering our new favorite haunt!

P.S. Trust me, if you ever find yourself in doubt, just follow your nose straight to Bombay Curry. You...
