Las Palmas 3 — Restaurant in Raleigh

I have taken a break from Las Palmas for about 5 yrs. For years our family would go but when we realized that when you checked out you bill never made since it made us wonder. We were constantly being charged for drinks or other small items that we did not order. When I would say something older female (I believe the owner) would get frustrated and get upset. So we started asking for an itemized receipt, she would refuse. Anyway after being, what we felt as being ripped off we just stop going. Well tonight we met my son that and another family and true to form she over charged us again. At lesat this time she wrote down each of the items on our ticket. So when I added them up the total came to $40.70. When she typed it into the register she came up with $46.90. I questioned the total. I was told that was what the computer came up with. I showed her the ticket she actually completed and she refused to charge me what was on the ticket. She tried telling me the tax was included. The tax rate on food service in Wake County is 8.25% not over 10%.So still over $2.50 more. It not about few bucks it about our we have a business in our community that has been stealing from its patrons for over 15 years. I was very frustrated and I let her know. She called out my family, she said I was mean and ask me not to come back which I won't. I returned told her that she has been stealing from people for years and I was no going to have. She offered to just let me leave without paying. I made it clear I was going to pay my bill. She would not charge me what was on my ticket, she would only charge me the inflated price. So I paid it and left.

As far a the food. The cheese dip is different. I was clumpy and thick. ACP was what it was. My kids always get that. I had the chicken fajitas and they were fine.

If you go just know that you more than likely will be over charged. You will not be offered an itemized receipt to verify you are being properly charged.

Wow, Did not take you long to respond. Your response looks like all the other responses you give when patrons have a negative comment about you and your business. You know what you do and it is wrong. You over charge people all the time and now you are finally being called out for it. You are a dishonest business owner that...

Cannot believe they are still in business. We eat Mexican food all of the time around the triangle area and this was a convenient stop on the way home after a long day so we stopped and it was a MISTAKE!! Terrible service! Guacamole looks like it is processed in a blender. Layout sucks! Once again the service sucks! No music, nobody hardly there. I just don't know how they are still there. We should've got a frozen pizza or something from the neighboring Harris Teeter. Hey waitress, maybe you should not worry so much about cleaning tables and maybe cater to the one table you have customers! Shouldn't take us asking you 4x for a margarita when there's hardly no other customers there. And how about giving everyone a water when we ask instead of leaving us one short? So I gave my water to my daughter. She had to drink it out of the glass because we got shorted straws. We couldn't get our waitress to stay at the table long enough to finish talking to her about what we wanted. We were still talking every time she walked away. When I asked her for cheese for our fajitas when ordering she looked at me with a confused expression with her eyebrows curled?? Sorry I like cheese with my fajitas! I gave her $3 on $36 check just because I felt obligated. Honestly, I would've left a dollar but she told us she has three kids like we do. Overall, go anywhere but here if you're craving Mexican food or good service....trust me, there's plenty of options worth the drive...even fast food Mexican style. This is probably the worst experience in a Mexican restaurant we've had in our entire life here in NC. Food was bad, service was worst, manager if you can call her that, treated customers worse than the other staff. Thus, leaving us to believe she is the head of the restaurant and promotes such cruel and disgusting behavior at the establishment is disappointing. I came in for lunch with my crew from work, One of my guys ordered a lunch fajitas, our waitress/ manager came by I asked her "is this the right lunch portion?". I asked that because he literally had 4 pieces of meat and all this vegetables, she responded to me by saying, "yes it is the lunch if you wanted more you should of order the bigger plate". Another time I ask my waitress if I can get a beer, she left and didn't came back with my drink, I saw another waitress that was passing by and said to her "excuse me, I have a quick question". She looked at me and kept walking, this same waitress came by again and again I told her I'm trying to ask you something but you keep ignoring me and she said "yes, because I'm not your waitress if you need anything you should ask your waitress". It looks like the staff here don't really care for the customer, they don't treat you good at all. Overall the whole visit was just terrible and I will never go back and for sure do not recommend...
