I am thrilled to have found El Pollo Rico! This is probably my favorite Latin restaurant in Raleigh! Their food is always well seasoned, flavorful, and you are served large portions (they’re consistent in terms of flavor and portions). I typically (as you can see) order (and thus recommend) the grilled chicken or carne azada (steak) with a side of plantains and charro beans with extra avocado- served with bell peppers and/or onions and pico de gallo. I am literally stuffed when I am done! 😆 The environment is always welcoming, waitresses are friendly and prices are unbeatable. Give this place a try! 😊

Love this place. I've been here for lunch and breakfast. Had the pollo guisado for lunch and the size of the plate was big enough for me to take some leftovers to work. The tortillas are handmade and the whole meal reminded me of the food my mom used to make for us in El Salvador. The pupusas have been the best I've had so far here in Raleigh. Good spot for Salvadorian food 😋

Good service put the pupusas mixed are the same as the pupusas bean and cheese. The only deference was the price. I fell that it is a little deceiving to make the customer think that the pupusas will be mixed with deferent kinds of meat only to find out it’s just beans and cheese 😠

I believe this restaurant shouldn’t be allowed to be a listing on Postmates to order from anymore. I received the utmost disrespect and worst service ever from this restaurant. I came in wanting to place an order for delivery and they made me wait and wait. Then, another customer came in and they asked to actually take their order before mine. After that, I went to go sit down until after they finished her order. After they’ve finished, I went to go see if they would actually take my order this time and another female came around the corner and stood on the podium with the other female who refused to take my order. She then took my order and proceeded to say in Spanish that she really didn’t like Postmates orders and couldn’t stand when they come in. They looked in my face to see if I understood Spanish and continued talking in my face about Postmates. This is the rudest thing you could ever do in a place of business is stand there and talk about the customer and their job in their face and do it in Spanish to try and conceal what you are saying. After placing the order they told me it would be 15 mins. I sat for 15 mins waiting and they continued taking other orders as normal but then another customer that came shortly after me ordered about the same amount of food and still left before me. By this time 30mins has passed and I waited another 15 mins before actually receiving the food for a total of actually 57 mins before leaving this establishment factoring in the time they made me wait before placing an order. No, the restaurant was not packed. When I first walked in it was only 2 people (myself and another customer) for a good amount of time. The food wasn’t even hot anymore for delivery. I do not want to make it a race thing but they seemed to serve everyone else faster than the only black female delivery person in the store and no it isn’t because they only speak Spanish because both ladies understood and spoke fluent English. I never will give my money, deliver for, or set foot to these kinds of restaurants again. I get tired of being disrespected like this. I thought all money...

I knew this place was going to be one of those great hole in the walls the second I walked in the door. It was busy and every person in the place was latino except for me and my guest. Always a good sign when you want quality Mexican/Central american cuisine. The seating area is very simple and seats probably 30ish people. I ordered the steak tacos which were simply awesome. Served authentic style on two soft corn tortillas. The tortillas were really something special. They were soft and had been grilled a bit to bring out the flavor. Each was filled with a nice helping of chopped steak and pico de gallo. The dish was served with a most sticky rice and pinto beans. I'm something of a taco nut and these were the real deal. The best I've found so far in Raleigh. My guest ordered the chicken version and he enjoyed them as much as I enjoyed mine. They also have a large selection of beer and latino ice cream bars which I plan to enjoy in the future. If authentic tacos are your thing definitely check this...

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE, IF YOU WANT GOOD FOOD AND GOOD SERVICE GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!The last 3 times i have gone here they have messed up my orders. Every single time I ask for extra sour cream they say they put it in there but thats a lie, yet they charge you for it. The give you less food each time you go. Its really sad bc their prices dont go down but the quality and quantity of food goes down. Then the service wow they are so rude. I cant remember ever having a nice waitress with good manners. At first I would go because of how good the food is, but well now the food is getting worse. Y el servicio wow son tan groseras todas las mujeres alli. No recuerdo haber tenido una buena camarera con buenos modales. Antes iba por lo buena que es la comida, pero ahora la comida está empeorando y el servicio pessimo. Mejor ire a...
