A friend and I went to Lynnwood Grill for drinks and appetizers because we discovered their, "build your own nachos" on our last visit. We showed up on 2/18 around 6:15 to a moderately busy restaurant. We were sat down and the waitress came over and took our drink orders. My friend ordered a dark beer and I ordered their house made root beer. We told her we wanted the Nachos and she asked us, "is that all?" To us, it sounded like she wanted us to order more. If things would have went well, we would have. We then said what we wanted on them and then she placed our order. She brought them over and we began to eat them and immediately stopped. We noticed several things that were wrong. First, the nachos were visably over cooked not just over cooked but flat out burned in places. As I looked further, as I thought maybe one or two of them were bad, I noticed they were all over cooked and tasted like it. Second, the chicken was dry. Third, the cheese wasn't warm or stringy. It was hard. It was that bad. It appeared someone tried to hide the burned chips with all the stuff on top. This flawed effort made it past the kitchen, the server and to the guest table. I say this because I used to work in the food industry and the first rule of food service is that if you wouldn't eat it, never serve it. We sat there for a while and Arden finally came back. I said to her, "This is not your fault. The nachos are over done and in many cases burned." I then showed her what was on my plate. She then said she thought she saw something wrong but because of the window and how busy it was and all didn't say anything. This is where she lost me because the server is the second line of defense for the guest/customer before it hits the table. She then asked what I wanted to do and I said that we were done. At that point, there was a kitchen that would serve visably overdone/burned nachos with dried chicken and cheese that was visibly cooled and hardened mixed in with a server not looking out for the guests. I tolder her we were done. At that point, she told me she would have the check over for the rest of the bill and left. She made no effort to call a supervisor or manager over to talk. She went to go get the check to get us out of there. She then charged us for the round of drinks. I gladly paid it and we walked out still with a bad taste of burned corn chips in our mouths. In short- Don't go to Lynnwood Grill. Not sure who was in the kitchen but they had no business, even on a Tuesday night, being anywhere near it. I also don't understand why the waitress who brought this to the table would do that to her customers at all. She thought something was up but served it anyway. Further, her, "that's it," to us lost points as well. Even if I order drinks and appetizers she would have done well tip wise because I had that job and know that it's not easy. Somewhere here, you'll find the photo. You can see what they tried to do by the edges of all the chips that you can see. That's not shadow or any sauce or spice. They're burned and it looks like they tried to hide it by covering their poorly prepared ingredients.

Me and my friends love coming here every Monday to hangout and eat some half off crispy wings! We're always quick to be seated and served and have generally had a great time every time we've came. We love trying all the different flavors and sharing with each other. Iva is one of our favorite servers here! She is very fun and outgoing, always making us smile! I would specifically AVOID being served by McKayla though. Every time we have been served by her our order has been incorrect, not extra crispy, we have to ask for share plates and discard plates, and we have to ask wet wipes?.... With other servers none of these issues ever happen, it's only with McKayla. We have found out that it isn't a kitchen issue with the crispy wings either, since it has happened repeatedly only with McKayla that we don't get crispy wings. The only reason I bring McKayla up was because today we asked for Iva but the hostess said all of her tables were full but there is a table in another section that was open. We agreed to take that table and Iva came over just to say hi. As a passing thought, we asked whether Iva could take our table and McKayla could take Iva's next table that came in. Iva said she would ask McKayla and McKayla agreed to give up her table to Iva. McKayla strode over to our table and started yelling at us for making her lose a table to Iva and we tried to explain that we were fine with whoever served us, we just thought we would ask anyway even if nothing came of it. We didn't realize it was gonna be a big deal or else we wouldn't have suggested it in the first place. McKayla glared at us the rest of the night and slammed our orders down on the table when she was helping Iva carry them. I apologize McKayla for causing you so much trouble, it WON'T be happening again since we will patiently wait for any other server next time.

Just ordered food at Lynwood Grill. Trying to support local restaurants. And even tipped them as my wife had to park and go inside to get the food. Again trying to support local business. They messed up our order. When we called to let them know they forgot the chicken and guacamole on a $14 California Cobb Salad. They stated come on back and we will give you another. That’s not the point. We didn’t want to drive another 10 minute BACK up to Their restaurant. Park. Get out and go in and wait. Then drive back home another 10 minutes. As we just did that. We spoke to “Will” the manager. He stated we Ordered the “Cobb” salad and proceeded to argue with us about our order. Will stated The COBB salad doesn’t come with Chicken and guacamole. Will the manager is a terrible manager. Because he should have said I’m sorry. What can we do to make this right. We just spent $50-$60. And tipped them so we could come up there, park and walk in to get our food. Which was incorrect. And then they get it incorrect. And have a manager insult our intelligence. Well Will, let me tell you something. Please Check your menu. Because there is no plain COBB salad available as you tried to lie you way out the fact YOU Just plain messed up the order buddy. There is only a CALIFORNIA COBB salad with Chicken. You just needed to admit you didn’t deliver, and apologize. WILL, you don’t even know your own menu. You lost a customer life. And I hope a lot of people read this and agree you gave TERRIBLE customer service. WILL, the manager just doesn’t care about their customers. Will, I posted a screen shot of your menu for you. It will help you learn you restaurants menu buddy. Have a great day, as you ruined ours. Thanks.

so I really didn’t wanna do this, but I’m forced to just like I was forced to resign without my knowledge. if you’re looking for a job, I do not recommend lynnwood. on Monday, Labor Day, I have been feeling sick like two days before that I had like a sore throat and I thought that I could’ve possibly had strep throat. I was scheduled to work that morning at 10 AM. However, I called in to call out of work for one We never have more than four people working in the morning throughout the week. Well this day it was seven of us and I knew that I felt bad and knew that I was not in a position to work around peoples food or drinks or be around anyone else especially with the symptoms that I was having. when you work in the morning, there’s no point of contact until 9 AM because the manager does not come in until 9 AM. However I was always taught that if you’re gonna call out or if you’re gonna be late, please call way ahead of time so that morning, I wind up calling around 7 o’clock because I knew that I wasn’t gonna be able to make it which was three hours before my shift and I texted the manager because I knew no one would pick up, but I still made the attempt to call. No one answered so I texted the manager @ 6:57am and asked him if he really needed me because i felt sick like i had strep throat & this was his response @ 9:06am “We need all the servers we can get today, we had to struggle to get what we have now. You can put your shift up to see if anyone takes it, but if you’re saying you may have strep throat we’re gonna need a doctors note.” - ok that was cool, my plan was to go to the doctor anyway bc that’s how bad i felt. …i didn’t text him back bc by that time i had already spoken to the manager on duty and let him know i was going to the hospital and would bring in a note my next shift. he said “ok feel better” well i was diagnosed with tonsillitis so i gave up my shift the next day as i was directed to stay home from work until thursday. i called out the next day which was tuesday & sent messages as well as called the restaurant … on thursday i go to check my schedule & im locked out of schedulefly which was weird. so i text my manager abt it and he stated i was removed bc i didn’t respond to his text. i was sick! i spoke to a manager and let them know i would bring a doctors note to my next shift and i even posted on the message wall where everyone could see and stated that i have tonsillitis and needed someone to pick up my shift. i was NOT quitting. i would do it the right way if i was but bc THEY thought i was quitting they blocked and removed me from the schedule. & the only excuse & justification for it was bc i didn’t respond back to his text. i was so sick, body hurting throat hurting head hurting couldn’t breathe and could barely talk and you’re saying you need all hands on deck. even tho im sick as heck and then you remove me bc i didn’t show up and you thought i was lying bc it’s labor day! i don’t drink or smoke i didn’t care to party! i was really down. this is bothering me bc i wasn’t given a fair chance to even quit if i wanted to! all along this job and the managers have been unprofessional. i never expected this from THIS manager. this is DEAD WRONG but this won’t be the first time i’ve been done wrong here! i have so many screenshots to back up everything im saying and screenshots of me calling both days and sending messages& the turnover rate here is crazy now i see why! i’m disappointed bc he didn’t even have a real excuse for taking me off the schedule EXCEPT “you didn’t text me back.” well why not call to check on me and see why i didn’t ?

The food was fine. However, my appetite was ruined. The waitress was beyond rude. My husband and I were celebrating his friend's birthday. I am in an interracial marriage. It does not usually bother me that people have prejudice against us. I just ignore peoples ignorance. However, last evening, we placed our order and everything was fine there. I noticed the waitress glaring at me. She brought our drink order and two silverware settings . Mindd you, there were four of us at the table)My husband asked her for some napkins for the table, she returned with two and quickly left without a word. She then returned to ask our friend if he wanted another beer. "Yes" he answered. While she was turning around to leave, my husband asked for more napkins and two more silverware settings for us, as our friends had theirs, we ALL were going to eat with silverware. She abruptly turned around and asked rudely, "Well!' "How many?" Glaring at me the entire time. My husband said, "Two.' She was walking away as he was answering her. Moments later she came back walking in a hurried way, almost in a sprint and slammed the silverware and napkins on the table next to my husband's arm. She didn't even stop. I was shocked at this display of total disrespect by a public server. I suppose she forgot that she worked with the public. I can say that because we always tip well and are always respectful and polite, unless we receive service like this. We were talking amongst ourselves and here she came again with our friend's beer. She slammed it on the table as she was walking in the same manner as before. She never even stopped to see if we needed anything, drink refills, nothing. By this time, we were enraged but held our composure due to not wanting to ruin our friends day. Our food orders came out, she left without asking again if we needed refills. My husband looked at me and asked me if I really wanted to stay in there. As we were getting our keys to leave and just tell them we lost our appetite due to her foul attitude, our friend asked us to stay. I wanted to speak to the manager at this point, but again not wanying to tuin his day. She passed by and our friend asked for a to go box for everyone's leftovers. She said, 'Do you want 2 ?" " And do THEY want 1?" She NEVER addressed us. She always asked our friends what we wanted, never asking us. Our friend also asked to have the bill separated . "She again asked, " You two are together and THEY are separate?" I stated, "NO!" "He and I are together." (Motioning between my husband and myself) My husband left our payment on the table as we went to use the restroom while our friends stayed at the table waiting for our return. When we returned, we had our change spred on the table. Everyone departed the restaurant as I stayed back to speak with the manager. He seemed nonchalant about the ordeal. He of course apologized and said it would be reported to the GM. He asked if we had already paid our bill and we had IN CASH. There was nothing he could .. you can return cash..card not so easily, I would have never left my card for her to take anyway without speaking alone to the manager. We just left l, no resolution to the matter. Even if they offered a discount or complimentary item, I still will NOT return! The food was ok, but we had our bellies full of her attitude before we were even served. To lastly say this, you should always treat people, no matter their race, religion or creed, with respect. What ever happened to love thy neighbor as theyself? Or has that been forgotten as well. Shitty...

Still waiting ted... im ready . Service was perfect.. charming, efficient, top notch. Food came out quickly, and was prepared thoughtfully, and plated with care. This place has a strong front and back of house... but the owners have tied their hands behind their backs. The menu is awful. Absolutely awful. If pizza is a highlight it shouldn't be this poor quality. Good pizza is simple. Proper fermented dough from a quality flour, tomatoes and salt for sauce, and a decent mozz. I sampled other things and they are some of the most bland, boring menu items I've ever had. The taps either have something evil growing in them or the beer is just awful. I will drink ditch water...but I could not finish the beers the make here. The triangle is saturated with quality breweries and nc boasts some of the best craft breweries in the country but my beers were actually undrinkable. Im a hungry construction worker who had a ciggerette for brekfast and nothing for lunch, i never leave a crumb on my plate, im a paycheck to paycheck man, but i left 80% of my food and beer on the bar. Give this wonderful staff a chance...this establishments niche is its the only thing open late on weekdays that is not a sustainable business model. Wake up call, get excited, get pissed and put some heart and soul into the menu and brews. Hate being negative , but the neighborhood is begging for a quality place to eat and you have the staff to make it happen. Bring the heat lynwood...I left a 22% tip , and lynwood left me hungry. If upper managment gets as hungry for success as I am right now...the sky is the limit.. response to owner . Hey Ted, if you are serious , and it's not a health code violation, I would love to bring pizza in beer I find better, just reach out via email and lets set it up...and as requested here is the list of pizza companies in the triangle that do it better- pizza faulisi cary, difaras Cary, coleta in cary, pizza Mercato Durham, oakwood pizza raleigh, poolside pies raleigh , v pizza cary, trophy pizza raleigh, bowstring raleigh. They all are visually nicer, and objectively better tasting, with superior ingredients, and a proper fermentation process using a much higher quality blend of flours, absolutely a different class of pizzas, admittedly for a higher price than what you charge. Now for breweries that make a better beer in nc take your pick....we have the highest density of craft brewers in the country. I'll bring 10 craft beers of a single varietal from nc , and have customers rank them 1-10. You will undoubtedly rank bottom 2 or 3 over a large enough test base. As for my writing abilities, I don't have any education beyond high-school, I own a construction company, and I don't write fiction, but I am just a chef, a chef that has worked in a Michelin star restaurant in NYC, as well as a top 10 highest grossing restaurant in the world . You clearly are a great business man, but you don't understand flavor or you don't care. You need to get a creative team, and real real chef and let them breathe life into that menu. You've got the ingredients to take lynwood to the top...you just got to change the literal ingredients. Let me know about your challenge, I am ready...
