Have tried to come twice hoping first experience was just a 1 off with cold food and wrong order. Today was 2nd try, got the grand classic with extra sausage links. All sausage was cold, eggs Luke warm, grits warm, bacon fine, home fries cold. Asked 4 times when ordering if there was any garlic on anything I ordered, asked about each item and was told no 4 times, food came out, asked a 5th time due to allergy. Was again told no, then another employee told her yes the home fries had garlic salt which was also touching my other food. She proceeded to just stand there and tell him it doesn’t matter for about 6 min with us listening, knowing it does matter. I asked for the food touching to be remade since it had garlic on it, and was cold anyway, came back out, garlic salt on the eggs, more cole food, sour oatmeal, soggy wet cold sausage. Was still served garlic after 5 times asking her to be sure, didn’t check, debated another employee and telling them it didn’t matter, and bringing cold food out again. There were mainly old white guys inside with Vietnam vet hats (regular old dudes you find at breakfast places) constant 2000’s rap and r&b playing for clearly not the right audience. It’s a shame this place is so cute and you’d expect a great time, but it’s very poorly executed with food and staff. The employees leave your table and you can smell the weed on them still, don’t smoke in your work clothes.
Summary Cold food Zero interest in food safety and allergies Poor service Slow to get food even when slow inside Staff yells from floor to kitchen Stuff doesn’t taste right from seasoning or blandness. Sour oatmeal makes no sense how that happens. Inappropriate music for the clients that come here Smells of weed inside and outside from parking lot. If I owned this and invested in a business like this I would care more about what’s served and who’s serving it.
Won’t try a 3rd time. Sunny’s diner up the road is better as is Bob evans.
Owner was kind enough to respond, it’s appreciated. I’m glad To hear an employer drug tests their employees. The weed smell must have been from the people out front and the wind blowing it in when the door opens. I hope eventually we make it back there once they get...
Read moreNot sure what happened at this establishment. We had a guest from our of town. We were out running errands and got hungry for lunch. We saw there was an eggs up 3 miles away and got very excited because we are aware of the locations in Fuquay, Holly springs and Garner. They are great. We walked in and sat down right away. Our waitress was wonderful. She took our order and that's when things went south. 25 minutes later, food came out but it wasn't our food. Nothing was right not with our order but it appeared every one's order was wrong. It's ok, not in a rush. Just Make it right. An additional 20 minutes later, they still got it wrong but not as wrong as round one. I noticed a lot of tension between the employees and the manager. The reason for the chaos was because more than half of the staff called in sick. The manager treated us well and even comped our ticket but was losing his patience over the staff and all of the customers saw that. Because the meal was comped, and because this was an isolated incident, I gave the additional one star. This location does not represent Eggs up and should be looked into. We do plan to take our guest to the eggs up location that we're familiar with and know that we will get excellent food and excellent service. If I was the owner, I would have closed the store that day. I think with the food waste of throwing orders away and comping most of the customers, it took a huge loss. As for the employees that called in sick, I would have a company-wide meeting and let them know that if they call in again without a doctor's note or an obituary, they're fired. You either want to work or you don't. For the employee that showed up I commend them immensely. It wasn't fair for them to walk in that fire. As for the manager, be kind. Just be kind! Your people are your greatest investment and...
Read moreThis location is near Glenwood Ave on Millbrook Rd. Near the Laundry Mat. Not a big parking lot but enough for now. They are open 6am to 2pm, daily. This restaurant was phenomenal. Very clean, organized, and friendly. The decor was so cute. The restaurant has a room that I believe will seat a larger party or offer secluded seating with windows and an opening to the dining room.. I’m going to ask about it on my next visit. Very spacious. I love restaurants where we’re not sitting super close to other tables. They offer a diner type of feel with a counter to sit at as well. They have tables with chairs, booths, and counter seating. The menu was a nice variety. Oh my goodness. I wanted to try so much. lol. I already know what I’m ordering next week. This time, I ordered a bowl with home fries, onions, green peppers, turkey bacon, and eggs. I had the eggs on the side & gave them away. I wasn’t able to swap them out. The others in my party had the crème brûlée French toast and cinnamon French toast. EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS!!! We sampled each other’s entrees. I had to thank the chef personally b/c the food was so good. We were the last party in the restaurant so we talked with a few employees. I loved the vibe. The environment was so pleasant, like they enjoy their job & being apart of a wonderful establishment. Everything was reasonably priced. Average entree was between $11-16. Ashley was amazing. She had great suggestions on entrees & she told us the donuts were good. We ordered the donuts as our appetizer. YES MA’AM!!! They were so delicious. Wonderful suggestion Ashley! I am definitely returning. This place is close to me and on my route to work. I plan on being a regular. LoL. KUDOS TO THIS NEW BUSINESS and the staff that was there on Wed. 11/27 between...
