Interlude Cocktail Lounge — Restaurant in Rancho Cordova

I can't say first impressions of this place would give me cause to come back, but after some thought I stuck it out. First time I pulled into the parking lot in the back, cops👮‍♂️🚓 were blocking the entrance to the front of the bar🍸parking lot, so I parked in the back. Intending to come out and move to the front after the cops leave.Which caused a misunderstanding between myself and Kelly the bar maid when I finally move my car. After coming back into the bar from moving my truck, my drink and money was missing from the table. Tried to get Kellys the bar maids attention to ask where my money and drink had disappeared 😒 to. Which caused me to yell so Kelly could hear me. After getting Kellys attention. Kelly didn't know where the money or drink had gotten to. Soooo, I asked Kelly would she know who might have taken the drink and money, or do they have thieves?? Some patron gave it to Kelly but her memory didn't seam to be working at the time, so big misunderstanding ensued because, two women's heads are most definitely not better than one. Money and drink were found by themselves. If Kelly would have shut her unintelligent blabbing, maybe she would have remembered. Kelly tried to give me back my drink, which was in the sink, but I wanted a fresh one. She refused and dumped the drink, and with a rude rejection for a free new drink. Well,, I did stay, in spite of the babbling misunderstanding. Kelly...

Oh Ernie. Why weren't you living up to your reputation when I visited? Maybe it was because I dropped in on a Sunday night. Maybe it is because people were fulfilling new year's resolutions to stay on the wagon. Maybe because...I've experienced better?

Kind of intimidating from the outside, there are no windows so you don't know what you're walking into! I saw a cute cat hanging out in the parking lot and saw this as a good sign.

Walking in, there were four people in the joint. The bartender - while not unfriendly - didn't seem like he was too happy to be there, or maybe that's just how he is. Like the fact that there are video cameras showing the parking lot bordering the fence. I also liked watching the cat running around the parking lot on the monitor. That was pretty much the extent of the action.

The jukebox is one of them newfangled machines where it is touch screen, and songs cost $.50 to $1. Gimme one of those relics that plays seven songs for a buck! This one was a lot pricier. I think we got maybe seven songs for FIVE bucks! And they don't have R.E.M. on this jukebox either. But they do have Grandmaster Flash!

Two well drinks set me back $7. It will be a long time until I try this spot out again -- unless...

I'm giving a 5 star review because all the bartenders. Anna,Tom and Kelly are always awesome. Rodney on the other hand was incredibly disrespectful. Even after buying him a shot he not only threw my drink away but continued to talk over me when I was trying to keep things cool. I normally tip minimum 20% but his attitude was not okay. And I think he acted out extra because of the tip which is extra wwrong. We have always been cool so unsure of the miscommunication but professionally speaking that's...
