To all service dog team
This restaurant deny public access to a service dog team. When mentioning my rights and handed a card of ADA law they quote “they know the law” and did not take the card. If you knew the law then you would not deny my SD and I our access. You would ask the two question. They said they can seat us outside which is hot, but not inside. Service dog has access anywhere in restaurants except food prepping area.
I am beyond very upset at how they handle this situation and will report you to the police and DOJ. No service dog team should go through such access issue. We are already struggling with our own health and being disabled. Just because we don’t look disable doesn’t mean we ain’t disable.
Update: I got a reply from them on yelp that shows they tried to save themselves from this incident. They mentioned that my service dog is an emotional support animal and it is the reason why they denied access even though in person they did not mention this. All they said is no dogs allowed and I have repeatedly told them my dog is a service dog and by law has public access. It doesn’t matter if you say dogs ain’t allowed you can’t denied by law. His vest also says it.
Btw, if you had issue with emotional support animals before like barking and running into your kitchen, why were they inside your restaurant in the first place. You would know the difference between an emotional support animal and service dog.
I wouldn’t go out of my way to argue and make a complaint if my dog wasn’t a service dog. I have doctor letters (for my work) that says he is a service dog and need to be with me at all times.
Businesses like this believe that they have the right to not comply and lie about the incident to save their faces. Businesses like this should listen to their customer concerns and implement new policies. No one should support businesses who discriminate people who have a disability, race, gender, ect. Take your money and spend it on another establishment. We dropped $500 on another sushi restaurant who did not discriminate and knows the law.
Service dog goes through extent training. Two years or more. They aren’t back up by law for no reason. Emotional support animal does not go through extent training and that’s why you see what you see “an out of controlled dog.”
Please educate yourself cause your actions caused me to go into several...
Read moreTerribly disappointed with the customer service of this restaurant (except for one elder lady who served us. She was the only one who had any sense of customer service, but sadly she was not there much longer after we arrived). Everyone else that remained had the poorest quality of service. First few orders arrived with some wait, and after eating, our empty plates were sitting not cleared for a good while. when we managed to flag someone down, we ordered negitoro, waited for about 30 minutes (it was busy so we waited patiently before following up). After following up I was told that it was still being made. A few minutes later another wait staff arrives telling me there was no more toro, so the order was actually never placed. I then asked for a salmon roll instead. Thirty minutes pass by and still nothing arrives. I then follow up on the salmon roll only to be told it was not placed. I mention to the server we have been waiting a while and she just snaps at me and says “I know! it’s being made”. 10 minutes later it arrives and it is THE saddest looking salmon roll - it wasn’t even tasty. Total wait time for the what-should-have-been-negitoro-roll-turned-salmon-roll was 1+ hour. wait staff never stopped by to check on us in the 2+ hours we were there. We had to flag down someone each time. asked same waitress who snapped at me earlier for help again and she said “be with you in a minute” and as she finished talking to another table she leaves without checking on what we needed and never comes back. overall 0/5 on service. If I could give a zero I would. I am afraid to come back here since the experience was horrendous and unacceptable.
Food as well was just ok. -Salmon salad was lacking dressing -hand rolls were loose and fell apart right away. -salmon roll was not made well, fell apart and had no taste -fusion nigiri was the only tasty item we had.
For the service and food quality, I would say it is not worth it to wait as long as we did and receive the service we got.
I hope that this restaurants takes into account the feedback from the community. I see the same complaints from other...
Read moreOzen Sushi has become a house hold name in Southern California for your go-to AYCE restaurant choice . Recently I had the opportunity to visit their new location in Rancho Cucamongo . I first must say the location of the restaurant is conveniently close to the freeway , the restaurant is also in a booming shopping center with other retailers. Walking into Ozen’s new restaurant you are greeted by a beautiful interior plan , the decorations and open atmosphere make you feel in awe and welcomed. It’s even a nice touch that you are able to see the whole kitchen through large clear glass . It’s quite amazing to be able to see the sushi chefs and cooks working hard to create all the delicious food. This particular Ozen is different from the other Ozen locations . It is not AYCE , but rather focuses on unique a la carte dishes with beautiful presentation , as well as offering daily high end choices like toro, uni, negitoro , sweet shrimp , and huge beautiful oysters ! You know when a business is doing well when customers are coming in , and that is something I definitely noticed on the Friday night I visited . You also know something about a business when the owner of the business is working as a sushi chef himself , making sure his food coming out of the kitchen is nothing but spectacular and made just right . Dylan, the owner came to our table at the end of our dinner to see how our experience was . This was very nice of him and just shows how great the customer service is . Quality and customer service is something I look for when visiting a restaurant , and Ozen Rancho Cucamonga is an example of both . I recommend this restaurant to anyone willing to try a new sushi restaurant in Rancho Cucamonga area ! It will be worth it...
