Me and my family have been coming to Compadres for years, literally was one of our favorite restaurants! good prices, good food, and great service. but tonight me and my boyfriend stopped in and we both got an ACP, when he gets half way through he spits out a price of chicken because he said it didn’t taste right and i looked at it and it was pink - so it wasn’t cooked fully. he sat that piece to the side and continued eating his food hoping it was just that piece because my food was fine , about 5 minutes later he asked me “what is that??” and i looked at the rice on his fork and it looked like blood… im not sure if it was for sure or not but it was gooey/sticky texture and blood red in color.. i thought “surely that isn’t blood, maybe it was a pepper or an ingredient but as i was looking at the rest of his food and mine and there were no peppers used or any other red ingredient… i did bring this to our server’s attention and she was understanding and took his meal off and said she’d have a look at his plate - but we both completely lost our appetites and i don’t think ill be returning here because this is a potential big issue…
i added photos but it is kind of hard to see what i’m talking about...
Read moreCompadres is probably the best Mexican restaurant in Randleman! Started coming back here just recently after probably 10ish years, and have been really pleased with everything.
For starters, they have totally expanded from what I remember. The inside decor of the restaurant and it's lay out is really inviting, and they have a really nice covered porch outside as well.
The food is what all Mexican food should be. It's hot, the portions are perfect, and it doesn't look like it was thrown together. The menu selection is solid, and the prices are alright compared to places you'd find in Asheboro. One thing I think that's cool about Compadres, is that you can order the lunch plates anytime of day! Which is pretty nice as much as restaurant prices have gone up.
As for the waiters and staff, they are probably some of the nicest I've had at a restaurant. The majority look like RHS students, but they are actually really on top of it. You'll never wonder if anyone is ever coming back to the table, and that's all you can ask for.
All and all, I always enjoy eating at Compadres! I definitely think that they rival anything you'd find in Asheboro or Highpoint, and it's great having good restaurants...
Read moreThis used to be my favorite restaurant to go to in Randleman but after today I have doubts of going back. The customer service is definitely not what it used to be. The waitress told me one price for the pitcher of margaritas, which tasted like pure sweet juice. They used to have the BEST margaritas! Then when I got the bill the pitcher of margaritas were $3.00 more. I mentioned it to the waitress. She said, "Oh we just had a price increase ". I politely told her I wanted the price she told me. She said she would have to ask her manager. She came back to the table and said they would charge me what she had told me but she didn't take ticket back or offer to give me a corrected ticket, I asked her for a corrected ticket before I paid the bill to show the correct amount. She did do that which I told her I appreciated making it right. I understand we all make mistakes but she acted like she could...
