Jade Garden — Restaurant in Rapho Township

“Eat In” restaurant? First there were styrofoam cups with straws In them for water, somebody’s coffee mug for my tea… The Appetizer delivered on a Styrofoam plate with a little plastic cup of sauce… Three different large entrées Served in takeout containers. I had to ask the woman three times for a real plates for us to eat from she said they didn’t have enough staff, no one else complained, she didn’t know where they were… Yeah, right. She said she had to go find The plates!!! Personally, I don’t care if they’re low on staff - there’s a reason for that. .. One serving spoon, one knife, the egg foo young gravy was in a soup takeout container too. What…..??

It was like having an indoor picnic with a background of a Speakerphone conversation in the same room About some bill they had. What ambience. I felt sorry for the couple Just leaving because it sounded like it Had been a dinner date. Not impressive at all . Bet that never happens again.

We will never eat there again, or order their takeout Ever. We’re going to go to other Oriental restaurants to experience, better quality, atmosphere, serving pieces, you know like an actual teapot and little Teacups. Polite Non-argumentative or excuse making servers

On a scale of one to 10 we gave them a four regardless of how Delicious The food was everything else was horrible. So much for a wonderful “...

This location has recently expanded, as of 3/14/13. They purchased the adjacent storefront and converted it into a proper dining room, and also took the opportunity to expand their menu.

There wasn't really anything special about it before the renovation: just an average Chinese restaurant. But now it is an excellent restaurant with a very diverse menu. Couple that with new decor and menus, and the superb quality and presentation of the food, and it is worth going out of the way to visit.

We went one night during our week-long visit with friends, and it was so good that we simply had to go back before returning, and we will continue to make it tradition on...

This USED to be a nice place for my wife and I to go and have a good tasting SIT DOWN Chinese Meal .... They should change their site to say TAKE OUT ONLY ... last time I was there (about 2 weeks ago) ... It is still set up like a wood and plastic COVID FORT !!! .. even has a little trap door to get your food and pay your bill. As far as I know this is the ONLY place in this area .. that still makes you feel like it is 2 years ago. I wish there would be a good place for Chinese in Mount Joy .. because maybe this place would wise up ... it is time for them to open their doors like every other restaurant in the area . or close down...
