Cohort Craft Brewery - 5th Street — Restaurant in Rapid City

There are a handful of breweries in the city, a lot of them share a few common tidbits here and there, though Cohort definitely chose to stand out. The Atmosphere is big yet it is very humbling at the same time. You have the choice of sitting in one of the booths for a nice at home feel, at one of the tables in the open main floor and of course outside in a small neighborhood vibe. The interior decor is absolutely inspiring in itself and the wall mural is a fantastic touch. Now onto the main course. The beautiful liquids of Cohort. The selection of beer and mead is simple and elegant. The IPAs, Stouts, and etc all have a unique taste to them. For example the latest Ghost n' Stuffs, had a nostalgic coffee and chocolate taste and brought you back to a campfire setting. You will sure fine a beverage that'll soon become a personal favorite. A nice place - lots of seating and it appears community engagement. Got a flight and the beers were pretty good. My favorites: kellerbier - this was a vibrant, layered beer loaded with effervescence. witches kiss - a guest tap that almost tasted of sour gummies. The wildberries - a pretty solid sour.

My least favorite was unequivicolly the mead. It was terrible and it took a minute for us to put our finger on it, but we finally nailed down the flavor - lipsmackers chapstick. Like from the 90s, wax and all. It had a great smell, but when you drink it, it has a horrendous orajel-ness to it that made it pretty unbearable.

Anyway, I would recommend this place as a solid community place with solid drinks. Not fantastic and...

Cohort Craft Brewery is a great place to enjoy exceptional craft beer, hang out with fellow craft beer enthusiasts, and be entertained by the creative events they plan and organize.

Bar service is also exceptional with Abbie leading the way. She knows her clientele, learns their preferences and makes recommendations on the new craft beers to try. Always friendly and conversational.

Cohort Craft Brewery also offers a wide variety of food trucks that will appeal to anyone's culinary tastes.
