Small place, was fairly busy when we stopped in. The staff was nice but the food was meh. The beans were dried out and had a lot of pepper in them. The rice was very tomato-y, like they cooked rice then added the sauce at the end. The cheese used in the chile rellenos was an American vs the cheddar used everywhere else. The best thing was the tamales, 10/10.

Small cafe in the residential area of downtown Raton New Mexico, where the local residents go very often, a ton of carry out orders on a Friday night pretty typical - Mexican food homemade and traditional.

Welcomed with a smile from ALL the hostesses made us feel right at home. They were more than kind and brought us a chili sampler of green pork chili & red beef chili (which is spicier). But the salsa they bring u with ur chips is the most spiciest!!! We ordered the SPECIAL SAMPLER and I was enough to feed 4 adults who had not eaten all day. It was Super delicious with real handmade flour...

My family and I had a horrible experience for dinner yesterday. The host was rude, the atmosphere, hostile. And there was a hair in my food that ruined my whole appetite. The host was actively making comment to other customers about having a large table. (There was 8 of us) very unprofessional. I asked my mom who the who was, apparently he was the owner. I will never...
