Okay, so it's official, only decent breakfast not available from several other chains, once again (after 40 years of wishing,.and like what, 1 year of joy) is now off the menu for seemingly all of WA McDonald's. I know I said I didn't want any McDonald's after 10:30 ever again, but I am not the only pebble on the beach, and sometimes going with the flow is better for the party. Isn't the second law of thermodynamics, something like "everything tends toward disorder?' If so, it perfectly sums my opinion of McDonald's over the last 40 years. I paid. .49 for extra big mac sauce and also had the audacity to ask for no pIckles and add bacon. The bacon wasn't on the big Mac, and we later found out it was not rung up and therefor would not be added until paid for. My wife got back in line and paid for my bacon, and the receipt showed that not only was it more than the .50 she was quoted, the receipt showed a charge of 1.29 (before tax) for "two full slices of bacon" and she paid it. Of course, by this time, our order was ready. Then, they made my wife feel further guilty for the cashier's mistake claiming "we went ahead and put the bacon on, even though you didn't pay for it" My wife was forced to respond that she had just finished paying for the ordered but not rang up burger "add on", which was doubly compounded by the blank stare she received in return. Food's on the table, and thanks to my wife, the order was completed as ordered, yay! The .49 (plus tax) I paid for extra mac sauce was all on one layer, and not a layer with lettuce, so most of what you pay extra for ends up on your hand pr shirt.than in your mouth. The "two full slices of bacon" I was charged for (and my wife was made to feel bad over) showed up on the burger as 3 tiny (way smaller than the tiny big mac patties and less thick than even my smallest obese fimger! I could have stuffed myself on my favorite Red Robin burger, plus chipped in for 1/3s on an app, and tipped the staff, for far less than my $16 "gourmet" Big Mac, fries and iced tea. And the difference in quality, OMG. I shudder every time I remember Chipotle is owned by McDonald's, but so far, at least they haven't tried to rob or kill me, at least not that I...
Read moreThis McDonald’s had all the fancy technology bells and whistles--with a self-serve kiosk on which to order foods and drinks, which is why I took pictures. However, what made the visit awesome in this new-to-me McDonald's location was how friendly and genuine the staff were in the short time I was there.
Honestly, all I went in to do was use the bathroom and grab a quick breakfast before getting back on the road. I wasn't expecting or seeking much. Nonetheless, I was highly impressed with how clean the bathroom and whole restaurant were.
What really matters and sticks out in my memory, though, was how nicely the employees greeted me, a total stranger, as well as how they interacted with regulars in the location. Those factors left a lasting impression. For instance, I smiled when I observed how one employee greeted an older gentleman in front of me in line. She was quick and competent but also took a moment to inquire about his newest grandbaby.
Despite the technology, which I can take or leave, use or not--I would not hesitate to visit this particular McDonald’s location because of the inviting, warm hometown vibe that the employees created and that I had the pleasure to observe. Kudos to the employees there for being so awesomely genuine and kind! My order was quickly filled, hot, and...
Read moreThey got our order right at the speaker but wrong at the pay window. We ordered 3 of the #3 breakfast MEALS with one coke and one iced mocha latte'.. they said we did not order meals they charged us almost $50. ($48.??) Then we had to pay separately for the coke. The iced mocha looked like dirty water with ice. All three of us tasted it and about threw up. We asked for a small handful of ketchup packets (asked 4-6) the window didn't give us ANY. They had us pull forward, we waited for over 10 minutes. My adult daughter (43) walked around to the front door and asked for a handful of ketchup packets, the person gave her 2! She told him we got 3 meals and 2 packets just is not going to work. In the mean time the 10 minute wait was just for the iced mocha latte. We got on the freeway and realized that someone gave us 4 #3 meals and rung the order up as individual items NOT MEALS. They messed up our order from the very beginning. $50. Is a lot of money for us. I'm disabled and live on $440.a month. My daughter is a single mom living on $520.a month. I/we have never had such a horrible experience with any place especially from...
